This tour of mostly artificial corridors has no interest, except potentially if you speak Czech or perfectly English which is debited to you at very high speed. Only interest, the constant freshness if there is heatwave outside and the voucher for a “free” beer, but it is expensive the beer...

Attention even entrance as the beer museum. And we sell you the underground before the museum. The underground tour sucks. Plus it lasts an hour. No visits in French. In English not very clear. The only interest is to see the underground network of the city.

Honestly, something of a disappointment. I don’t really know what I expected but it was exciting to walk around in narrow and damp tunnels and hit my head here and there. The background to the tunnels and their history is interesting but could have been presented in a different way.

The tour was entertaining and interesting. The woman who conducted the German tour was very nice and put a lot of effort into it. Some interesting things have been learned. The price includes a free beer in the adjacent restaurant. Those who are afraid of tightness are wrong here, however. We would definitely recommend it.

definitely worth visiting. i suggest booking in advance but its not necessary. the tour is an hour long, with guides only.

A very nice tour with a very nice guide. It was very interesting and eventful. Sturdy shoes are recommended as it is occasionally wet and slippery.

The underground tour was terrific. Our guide was knowledgeable and the tour of the underground labyrinth was great. We had a person on the tour who started talking whilst the guide was explaining and she handled it professionally and politely. One of the best tours I’ve been on.

Great fun to do! Good guide with nice stories about the history of the city and of course the beer. One hour tour, and definitely worth it.
With a voucher for a Pilsner beer afterwards.

Tour mit deutschsprachigem Guide. Sehr interessante Tour über die Geschichte der unterirdischen Gänge. Viele Aussstellungsstücke. Gerade an heißen Tage eine willkommene Abwechslung bei kühlen Temperaturen im Untergrund. Tour dauert etwas über eine Stunde. Es wird viel erklärt und Fragen ausführlich und verständlich beantwortet

Had a blast in the cellars & passages beneath the city. The tour is approximately an hour long & very informative. Lots of history & some unexpected titbits about Plzen itself.
If you like out the ordinary experiences & some interesting cultural knowledge, this tour is right up your alley.

why was this underground constructed? What was it used for purposefully?

The area was constructed in the middle ages and is multiple levels. During sieges, people could move between homes safely. There were also wells. Functionally, the below grade location was ideal for storing food and beer brewing. There were also trades practice down there.

I am sorry for the late reply. I am not sure what hotel you were asking about. There is a parking house 5 minutes away from the Pilsen Historical Underground entrance. The price of parking is 10 CZK per hour or 60 CZK per 12 hours.
