We really enjoyed the visit to the Klementinum. It is true, as we had read from the reviews, that the library is not open to visitors, but you can only admire and photograph from outside (nobody put pressure on us to hurry, so we were able to observe it quite quietly). It is a wonderful library and worth a visit. Before entering our Guide (they speak only English) showed us on a screen an interactive reconstruction of the library in order to explain the details to see. You then climb to the top where you can admire a beautiful view of Prague. The only negative note is the price of the ticket that is around 15 euros, a little too much. I personally am very happy to have visited and Recommendation.
Not recommended, however, for those who have difficulty climbing stairs, it can be too demanding and tiring; a lady in our group stopped at the library floor and did not climb to the top.
Recommendation Reservation, we wanted to go the same day, but tickets were finished. We went in person, as we had been advised, the next day at 9am and managed to get two tickets for 10:30am (early available time). For those who do not know English at the entrance you can take a sheet with an explanation in Italian that must be returned at the end of the tour.

Attention: The Baroque library can only be visited from the door, you are not allowed to enter. Photos without flash are possible. Duration of stay at the door: approx. 3 minutes. This is clearly too little for around €15...

Wonderful building, especially the library. Great tour guide (George) who explained things clearly in English, and who was ready to answer questions. Breath-taking view although struggled with the steep step. Do not go if you have impaired mobility. No toilets available.

I paid for a ticket to this place before I arrived in Prague. I was disappointed that although the complex is very large, the tour is confined to the Astrological clock tower and pretty much vertical. You do get to see the library from a small viewing area at the door but because they are concerned about humidity etc. that is as far as the tour goes into the library so you cannot see the ornate ceiling and decor very well, nor the array of clocks and globes.
There are NO LIFTS - I have arthritis so gave up on the fourth floor as I knew I would have difficulty negotiating the spiral staircases back to the ground floor and the guide was in a hurry as a Japanese tour party in front of us were delaying our progress. This was quite disappointing and not something that I saw on the website before I booked. There are several chapels in the complex but we could not visit those either, I was particularly disappointed that the Mirror Chapel was not on the tour.
All in all not really worth the entry price especially as there is no accessibility for people needing it.

We bought our tickets online so we could skip the line!
The tour was very interesting, we had a pleasant guide.
She gave us lots of information but not to many details
We first went to the library.
You can not enter the library but it is allowed to take pictures from the entrance where you have a nice view.
After the library we went to the astronomical tower
Be prepared for a lot of stairs !!!
The astronomical tower was very interesting as well, we saw a lot of old astronomical instruments.
Once we've reached the top, we got an amazing view over the city !
This guided tour is about 50minutes.

The staff is incredibly rude; I was yelled at just for trying to walk into the ticket office (?). I was also chastised for buying a tour in the wrong language. The tour was lame too. You can’t enter the library and we didn’t get to see the mirror chapel

Disappointing, the library can not be visited practically, you can only look out at the entrance and try to take some photos that unfortunately are not even given the low light inside the library, probably necessary to keep the various objects in better condition. The only positive note is the view you have once you arrive in the tower, after having walked 172 steps. Get ready for a long wait in the sun to buy your ticket, we took about an hour. Too bad, the presentations on the various sites are different from reality, it is presented comu a "must", in the end it is no big deal, in our humble opinion.

In the title of the review all my amazement. Immensely beautiful, charming, magical atmosphere. I don't think it makes describing it in words. one of the most beautiful things seen in Prague. unique beauty of its kind. also suggestive tour to the top of the tower.

Dear Sally,
Sure we have a lift ready for people who needs it. But it leads only to Baroque library. Unfortunately you can not fit a wheelchair inside the lift so you have to be capable to move on your own.

Вход 300 крон, только с экскурсией. Она начинается каждый час и только на английском. Можно фотографировать, кроме библиотеки. Поднимаетесь на астрономическую башню, с нее вид на город.

We stayed in the Design Metropol Hotel, good hotel in a perfect location. Very easy to jump on the metro or trams. Less than a 10 minute walk to the Klementinum
