The Jewish Quarter is one of the hubs of your visit to Krakow so you will definitely get to visit it. Recommendation to study an initial route taking into account the opening hours of the various synagogues that you will want to visit and I recommend you also try the restaurants in the area.

This was Krakow's major Jewish area. After years of postwar reconstruction, Kazimierz is now a lively area full of boutique hotels and quality restaurants. It is also a convenient place for tourists to sample Polish culture.

We have been visiting Poland for a week and I think if we had been better informed, we would have chosen to spend much more time here. I recommend doing a previous Free Tour, to place yourself and then, in successive days discover it in its breadth. History, architecture, gastronomy, atmosphere, march, music, places to get lost. Unfortunately we lacked much time to enjoy it. For us, the best of Krakow. Do not miss it in any way.

It deserves a nice walk... it is full of interesting views! It is a unique experience to immerse yourself in this atmosphere breathing air of yesteryear.

This place is definitely worth a visit, there are so many places to visit here as you stroll around from bars, restaurants, cafes, boutique shops, art gallery's, takeaway food stalls, churches, courtyards to the history of the place, we had a ball wandering around this part of Krakow, what helps your visit is the people are all so helpful and friendly, a really nice part the city to explore, the place is steeped in history so keep an eye out for all of the signs of the past in Kazmierz.

We stayed in Kazmierz and it was a wonderful place. It has such a lovely atmosphere and some beautiful buildings. It has a very lively nightlife and lots of bars where the drinks are pretty cheap. There are numerous places to eat and I particularly enjoyed eating at Ed Red, Cafe Kladka and Restauracja Broo. A visit to the nearby Krakow Old town is recommended where I particularly enjoyed seeing Leonardo da Vinci's Lady With An Ermine painting at Kraków’s Czartoryski Museum and the fabulous Cloth Hall.

If you’re in Krakow it’s definitely worth visiting. There are lots of lovely bars and restaurant all set within the interesting area that has plenty of history.

This district was my favourite in Krakow. I felt right at home. A great place for street food and markets, it is beautiful and educational in the day and lively in the evenings. Lots of great bars and restaurants, the perfect place to visit.

We visited this neighborhood together with the guide Antonio da Foggia, interesting tour and excellent guide! Not to be missed.

Ich habe gesehen, dass es links vom jüdischen Viertel eine große Baustelle gibt. Kann man vom jüdischen Viertel aus in das Viertel links davon laufen oder muss man ganz außen rum laufen?

Ciao , vorrei sapere da stazione centrale ferroviaria di cracovia ( dato che arrivando in aeroporto prenderei autobus 208 che arriva al capolinea in stazione) a piedi quanto dista il quartiere ebraico per poter prenotare un hotel?

in verità dalla stazione sono quasi tre km considerando che è quasi un km per arrivare al Rinek. Il quartiere ebraico ha una certa dimensione per cui dipende, comunque non più di tre chilometri. I taxi per quanto costosi sono la cosa più semplice. Dal Rinek sono andato sempre a piedi in 15/20 minuti.

You can enjoy this tour (note: it's not free) in the golf carts in the Krakow Old Town and Main Square where you will be exploring the Old Town, Jewish district – Kazimierz, former Ghetto, st. Marrys Church and plenty of these heritage sites, and those golf carts are equipped with an audio-guide system and different languages are available.
You will enjoy the experience and explore this city with over one thousand years of history.

The train from the airport does not run to Kazimierz but to the main railway station, not far from the central market square. From the station you can probably take a tram to the Jewish quarter. See information and timetables on the website of Krakau public transport "jakdojade".
Attention with the train : in november 2017 there were railway works and many trains did not run or where replaced by a bus. The train was not very frequent either (every 30 min) so I did not use it. See information on their website.
I have no idea if the train is safe at night.
For your comfort I would advise to book a taxi transfer from the airport direct to your destination in town. It takes about 30 min. and will cost around 25 € (90 PLN).
