A very nice place that approaches the topic with a sense of humor. If you live in a post-communist country and are over 20 years old, you will often want to say "look, I had a TV like this at home, and this room looks the same as my grandmother's!". That's why when they opened this museum, I wondered if it wasn't too early for such a museum, because each of us had at least one of the things on display at home. But looking at how the world is currently changing, I come to the conclusion that this place is needed. I feel old looking at all this stuff, but it's also nice to go back in time, even if the Polish People's Republic wasn't really a happy time.

This place is an absolute must! First of all the place, the buildings, are just BEAUTIFUL! As for the exhibition - even tho we did not grow up in Polant, we in Czechoslovakia had very similar historical communist experience so it was extremely interesting for us, "baby boomers", to compare what kind of products we were using in those times and what Poles had - cars, furniture, toys, TV sets, statues, sorella paintings... Plus at the entrance there were two super nice ladies - one making fantastic coffee, second one providing us with very interesting info :-)

Muzeum bardzo ciekawe z bardzo dużą ilością eksponatów pozwalającym starszym wrócić do dzieciństwa a rodzicom pokazać dzieciom jak to było kiedyś w jednym z pomieszczeń znajdują się samochody z epoki na zewnętrznej części muzeum jest kilka pomników oraz kultowy kiosk

Naprawdę polecam to muzeum, dla całej rodziny. Koniecznie trzeba zwiedzać z przewodnikiem. Pani Dorota bardzo ciekawie opowiadała. Dzieci zainteresowane, w dodatku można dotykać większości eksponatów. Powrót do przeszłości plus ciekawostki, o których nie mieliśmy pojęcia. Świetnie spędzone ponad 2h.

The place is absolutely worth visiting. If you are not familiar with the life in Poland before 1989 - then please make sure to have someone with you to explain you the whole thing (it gets even more interesting with good commentary). There are guides on the spot - but I am not sure about the availability in English/other languages.
First of all - I would consider the number of available exhibits as large/extensive. You can see "the comrade's office", how people used to live, cars etc. For the older generation - this is a chance to look at those times from the safe distance. For kids it will be one of few opportunities to see the technology we grew with - but they never saw.
In case you hear that the museum is "a glorification of the previous system" - read their manifest and think twice: "those who do not know history's mistakes are doomed to repeat them".

Muzeum na uboczu, z ogromnym terenem. Dla starszych wspomnienia, dla dzieci możliwość odkrycia niesamowitych przedmiotów jak kasety VHS. Wszystkiego można dotknąć.
