It was amazing! Didn’t expect a lot, it was really well organized. I stayed in a huge queue only once, when we wanted to get cigarettes. Other than that, everything was so fast.
It was very hot, but there were a lot of places where you could get free water, also relax on the beach. A lot of people were complaining about beach, but I understand that it was because of safety reasons and I support this decision.
I really liked food, varieties of activities, circus!
Also decoration was great!
And of course music!!
I will definitely go for the next one and will stay inside of the festival.

I went for Liam Ghallagher as a good 50 year old but I discovered artists unknown to me and very good like Yves Tumor or Giuse The Lizia, techno music at the Coloseum and the Bolt Arena with Kevin De Vries very cool. Valid event, quiet environment full of young people.
Regarding the organization I have the following comments:
1) few signs / directions; if you go for the first time you do not know how to get easily and quickly from one stage to another. The staff to ask is often unprepared (!)
2) the VIP ticket is absolutely not worth the money; the terrace is put in a really penalizing position compared to the main stage. There is no special free food or merchandise to exploit, nor who knows what assistance. It's extra money really thrown to the bucket
3) good availability of taxis at the exit, decent variety of street food
4) there are also decent shaded areas in case it is too hot (there are events like FirenzeRocks where you stay under the sun without mercy)
Event where to return for sure, you spend 14 hours standing around but as long as the body holds....

got an incorrect ticket in the email, had to buy another one, ticket wasn't re-sellable even though it was supposed to be, won't go again

My review is about vip tickets, which are fraudulent. They promise you that you will have the best view and when you come here, there are some elevated boxes, which have much better views, and which of course you do not have access to because they are sold as super vip with food and drink. Never buy vip. It's ridiculous.

This festival used to be one of the best in Europe, unfortunately no longer is. We got an early bird tickets before the whole line up was announced, so with previous experience we thought the line up will be great as for the previous years. That didn't happen. Line up was poor to say. I don't know what have happened with the Sziget hospitality but most of the staff in food stalls or in bars were at best rude. Coming here from abroad and paying all the expenses, I expected more... Overall experience was disappointing, I don't think I will ever comeback to Sziget again.

We bought super VIP tickets for 500EUR. I attached the picture what they promised for that. Actually nothing was true.
When we arrived to the VIP area to change the ticket we had to wait 20 min. The Super VIP wasn’t handling separate lines. It was no privileges. The cashiers gave us the tickets. We had 4 of this. We were facing in the entrance it is not working. In this case they asked us to go back to the ticket office. So they didn’t what to do. We ask for the manager who came looked at the tickets saying nothing and he left. On of the supervisors with red hair with the tattoos asked us to buy extra daily tickets.
I explained it is impossible to buy an upgraded ticket without the daily tickets. They gave us already two wristbands which was the VIP and the daily tickets. So they didn’t know at all how does it work. This supervisors was extremely rude and unprofessional. She never apologized even we mentioned to her. She hade no idea about after sales service and how to handle customer complaints. She was absolutely not up to the mark to handle any situation. We gave her the ticket she threw it back to as saying she doesn’t speak German either English.
So after we bought 4 extra daily ticket top of on 500 EUR Super VIP tickets. When I paid the cashier was asking me to choose. I asked her to what to choose on the POS terminal. She didn’t what to answer. I asked her: are you trying to figure it out which currency I want to pay? She said yes yes yes. She had zero knowledge what she is doing.
The staff had zero training how they should handle this kind of ticket and situation.
After we went to the Super VIP room the design and the food was very low quality.
I wish the festival management to take a consideration on this kind of problem.
I would never go back for this experience. Very rude staff and low quality.

Overall good experience. In my opinion the lineup was not very strong this year, I didn’t know a lot of the artists. The mains stage shows were over crowded and it was impossible to see the stage if you were more than 10 people back. Food was good but overpriced. There are limited entrances to get onto the island so it was slow to get off after the main stage shows were over. There were only 3 free water stations which is not enough.

Well this was one of the best experiences of my life with amazing people in a beautiful city.. Super Earlybird tickets being purchased for next year. Can't wait to go back for soooo many reasons. Fantastic crowd and atmosphere, amazing AMAZING diverse acts ,21 hours of music a day if you include the sound checks at 8am 🤣, everything on your doorstep, unbelievable cleanliness and facilities, beautiful island, fantastic friendly staff and all this for SIX WHOLE DAYS!!.
We had a pre pitched tent in one of the private campsites AND a cheap hotel in the city which was a bargain.. WELL WORTH having both and wouldn't change any of it. Campsite was awesome .. especially the staff at the bar there that was open ALL the time. I think you really need to camp there to get the full experience. Popped back to the hotel for various reasons but only stayed there the night before the festival and the last night of the festival .
It's an amazing city and well worth making time to experience it
If you're thinking about it.. just do it!

Friday evening in a traffic jam to get off the site via the K-bridge. Then queue again for a taxi. Took 1 hour 40 minutes. If panic had arisen among the people waiting to leave the site, all hell would have broken loose. Food is bad. There are stands with chicken nuggets, snacks, fries, etc. These are baked in large numbers, open and exposed. If you order a portion of fries or other snacks, they will put it in a paper container and put it in the microwave for you... mmm! Not to eat. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich and received one already packed, with the sandwich you could go to Cologne on your ass.

We booked the ticket pass that gave us access for the whole festival. The festival was good fun but did not live up to eat we were expecting. I would still recommend this festival, but I only the day passes. Choose 1 day you want to commit to and enjoy the city break either side. We had the 6 day pass and only went for 3 of the days.
The evening acts were brilliant! The atmosphere was amazing and the crowds were HUGE! During the day there was not much for you to do and the ‘beach’ was not quite what it was made out to be.
Overall, a great festival to visit with friends but really glad we were staying in the city and not camping as we did get bored and enjoyed exploring the city instead.

Does anyone know if there will be any full festival tickets available that don't include camping? And if so, are they any cheaper? I'm just asking, since we would rather have an apartment and yet attend the entire festival.

In my opinion no, this year they didn't have a pool (it was there but it was empty), the VIP bars were sold out many times before the main act began and the bathrooms are the same ones everyone else uses on the festival so not really an "upgrade". Maybe they will do better next year, I sure hope so!

Hello I’m planning a trip to Sziget festival for 2 days but when I try to rent a tent It is priced for 7 days. Is there any way I could rent and pay for a tent for just 2 days ??

Unfortunately, so far as I know they rent the tent for the hole duration of the festival. But you can take and use your own tent.
We where 4 people so we rented an apartment (Airbnb) in the center of Budapest for 5 days.The total amount that we pay was less than a tent for 4 people with all the xtras. Plus we had our own bathroom.

Hi, I am looking at buying a 3 day ticket but want to stay in a hotel rather than camp. With a 3 day ticket are you able to leave the festival at night and re enter the following day?

Hi, yes it is possible to leave and enter the island everyday. I believe the tickets are from about 8am-6am and, after the first day where you have to get ID attached to your wristband, you just need to walk through the gates to enter the festival. My friends and I do this every year and it's very easy to do.
