We had an absolutely incredible wine and food-tasting experience. Thomas was phenomenally insightful and a great host! We will definitely be returning!

My husband and I received this experience as a Christmas gift from our son. The atmosphere was authentic and very cozy. felt like I was in a wine cellar. The man leading was very welcoming and had a vast knowledge of Hungarian wines. The wines were delicious and we enjoyed the charcuterie and cheese. Suggestion: perhaps extend the time from 2 hours to 2.5. Tasting 8 wines in less than 2 hours was a little rushed. Overall a great experience. I have told many friends how much enjoyed it. Thank you!

Amazing experience. The host keep it interesting by telling us stories about Hungarian wine history, cheese and meat cuts while we're enjoying eating and drinking. Tasting was held in beautiful wine cellar which added to a special feel of experience. Wine was delicious and great opportunity to buy some too.

This was over 4 hours so well spent. The food was delicious and eclectic. From Langos to sausage to cakes and of course the drinks, everything was great. Our guide was absolutely brilliant! She was knowledgable and fun, the whole thing just flew by. If you do one thing in Budapest, do this.

The building is beautiful but the interior is deserted by traditional vendors!
There are only a few butchers and first-timers left! The Chinese invaded this market through their low-end souvenir stands!
Upstairs you can eat on the go in a decoration of bimbeloterie!

The wine tasting and snacks were delicious and the Somelier told a lot. There was interesting information. The wines were not particularly good. The price/performance ratio was not good.

At first they asked me to change the date of the tour. Then they asked me to change the tour type. And in between, no answers to my emails. Not reliable.

Hello. I'm looking to book the ruin bar tour in Budapest for 10 people in april. Could you confirm exactly whats included please in relation to drinks. It doesn't say beer included in the price, but some of your reviews says it does. looking forward to your reply :-)

Thanks for your question! The type of drinks you get depend on your taste ... we are flexible! The tour includes 4-5 drinks, which could be beer, wine, or spirits. Hope this helps! Feel free to get in touch with us also by email if you have any further specific questions or would like to book.

Is there another way to book and pay for the Vienna to Budapest tour? The website doesn't appear to be secure, so we don't want to enter our credit card on-line. I've sent two e-mails to hello at taste hungary and have not received a response to either e-mail. If anyone has experience booking a tour without entering their credit card on-line, please advise. Thanks!

We had no problems booking two different tours using our credit card online with Taste Hungary last Oct. Their customer service was very good.

we were thinking of doing the boat tour on our first night to Budapest after a long plane ride from San Francisco. Did you like the boat/wine tasting tour on the Danube more/less than any of the other tours that you took? We will do a bike tour the next day to get general overview....but wanted something a bit more laid back for our first evening in town. would appreciate any thoughts on the subject.

We also did a night river cruise of the city as a part of our Danube trip. It is worth the time to see the city at night and from the river.
