铁链桥很有特色，与现今的大桥外貌不同，中间是车路，但两旁有楼梯，行人可从河边步行上桥，桥上是拍照的好地点。

布达佩斯地方不大，连接布达和佩斯的就是那么几座桥，走来走去还是这个链子桥，气势宏伟，桥下波涛汹涌，很是壮观

这是一座非常漂亮的桥，尤其是到夜晚时，周围的所有灯都亮了。通往布达佩斯两岸的道路非常美。我确实觉得步行穿过这座桥有些可怕，因为我有点恐高，但其他人都觉得很好。如果你开车经过的话，有时这里会很堵，特别是交通高峰期，我们花了很长时间从一边开到另一边。

Hi guys.
Does any 1 know if this is the bridge were u can place padlocks or is there another. Also any recommendations for a 4 night stay here. We are arriving 4th Nov. Thanks

Don't think you can put locks on. Huge chains. Certainly wouldn't recommend where we stayed as too far out from tourist areas. I would have liked to stay in buda.

I was wondering if there was an airport shuttle to Sofitel hotel at chain bridge?

I had already arranged transfers from airport to my hotel on the way out. I looked into options for return home, couldn't find a bus shuttle service like other places, maybe as it's further out the city compared to other places.

I was just reading that construction on the Chain bridge will start in September or October 2019. I have had difficulty finding the exact dates etc. We will be there for a short trip on Oct 1-4. Thank you.

MY Understanding is that there will be a pedestrian area most of the time. But it may not be completely across the whole bridge. But call your hotel.

Just wanted to ask if is possible to walk over the Chain Bridge? We are visiting 8 November. I heard there may be renovations to it that would close it but I’ve read some recent reviews which seem to indicate it’s open? Thanks.

Hi ,Yvonne ,yes you can pass through the bridge from Buda to Pest side and it is preferable to do so .The views are stunning .

Hi there, someone asked this question in March 2018, but I need more recent answers as to when the renovations will begin on the Chain Bridge? We are visiting end of September and I’d heard the renovations were starting September but this hasn’t been confirmed. Anyone been there in the last few weeks or that can confirm exactly when these works will start, or if they’ve started? Thanks!
