Beautiful interesting place especially for kids.The incredible shark tunnel, where you can walk under these majestic creatures swimming right above you. There’s even a touch pool where you can get hands-on with some of the marine life. It’s the perfect mix of fun and learning, whether you’re with family, friends, or just exploring on your own.

Stupid! Animals trapped in miserable cages of jam, dirty, poorly preserved, really sad! It's outrageous to keep captive creatures of nature!!! All zoos of this kind should have been closed!!! What's worse!!!!9

One of the highlights of my Budapest visit. It was something new and interesting.
Tips: it should take around an hour to complete the visit, so plan your time. It is very crowded, so it goes slowly, and the waiting line for the tickets is really long. You can buy tickets as a group/online in order to avoid waiting. After the visit, there is a small shop where you can buy interesting souvenirs and toys in the form of animals from the tropicarium. Not very cheap, however.

Very nice place worth of visiting. My kid was very happy. Sharks, snakes, bugs... This place is far from the city. We travelled by car so it wasn't a problem for us, maybe you could find some organised daily transport. In the same place you can find the Lego "museum". Go here with kids!

A small but quite pleasant aquarium and terrarium. The main attraction is the tunnel above which rays and sharks swim.

My friends and I visited without a lot of expectations. It's a little far away from the city center but I think it's worth it. I was expecting it to be bigger not gonna lie, but we still spend well over an hour in there. Such a cool place thou!

The Tropicarium in Budapest was my last place to visit before leaving the city.
This was my great desire to visit, even though I am visiting it for the second time. "Tropicarium-Oceanium" is located in the Campona shopping center. Unlike other places in the city, which I visited by public transport, I visited this place by car, because it is quite far from the city center. The parking in the shopping center is free of charge. The tropicarium is divided into several parts. First is the makeshift jungle, with greenery, a pond, a waterfall and tropical animals like reptiles, little monkeys, bugs. Then there is the section with the small aquariums, then comes the large aquarium, under which there is a tunnel, from where you can photograph the rays and sharks. At the end there is a large pool where you can touch the little stingrays. There is a souvenir shop at the exit of the Tropicarium. The Tropicarium is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the city and at the entrance there were quite a lot of people waiting to enter. I paid about 4,500/5,000 HUF for the entrance.

I may be biased as I have a special interest in aquatic life, but I absolutely adored this place.
They had a wide range of fish I hadn't seen in other aquariums elsewhere in the world including a Gar.
There were reptiles and insects to look at and learn about and an large range of fresh water and salt water fish.
I spent approximately 3 hours here but it is what YOU make it.
It is outside of Budapest and a taxi is approx. £15 GBP. You couldn't walk this as a warning.
I advise buying online tickets as they come with queue skip which was a god send as the queue was massive.

Overpriced while quality is declining year by year. Prices increased 40% since last year with everything falling apart, not working, missing paint etc. etc.
It's a shame since the selection of animals, size of the sharktank made this place a the best aquarium in Budapest.

Cozy aquarium with plenty to look at. The kids loved it. Even for adults, there is plenty to look at. Watching the sharks in the tunnel is an experience, as well as the chance to pet the rays at the end.

Возле вокзала Келети если стать спиной к центральному выходу спиной метрах в 100 от него по правой стороне автобусная остановка, номер автобуса я, к сожалению, не помню. Он и может довезти Вас до места. Приятным бонусом является осмотр Пешта и пригорода.

Dobrý deň, nie je treba si rezervovať. Nechodí tam asi už ani tak veľa ľudí, je to maličké, prejde sa to rýchlo, tak ti ľudia tam sa dlho nezdrzia.
