The city hall is lovely and we enjoyed our view of it from the big square. It is classic old architecture and a big part of the old city, so it is one of the places that you will want to see.

Undoubtedly one of Tallinn's most famous and iconic buildings, not only because it is a perfect example of its striking medieval architecture, but also because its spire houses an authentic symbol of the city: Vana Toomas, the “old Thomas” who has watched over Tallinn and its inhabitants for centuries. Actually the original windbreaker is kept inside the town hall, but the one on the spire is a faithful copy. It is depicted on many souvenirs around the city. The town hall itself is open to the public and can also be requested as a location for concerts and weddings.

This historic building definitely attracts attention! And in the central area and it is impossible not to see it! We have seen it both by day and by night and I must say it is fascinating in both ways. Anyway, it's nice to see how well these buildings are maintained! Definitely this building will not disappoint you! Enjoy your visit to you people of TripAdvisor.

Beautiful building located on the square in the heart of the city. The tower is characteristic of Tallinn Skyline and gives a beautiful view of the city

The Tallinn town hall is definitely one of the highlights of the beautiful city of Tallinn, we went inside for a drink and it is still very authentic to the time period, definitely worth a visit.

The Gothic town hall is well preserved and the exhibitions are very nice. Good descriptions and a lot of history make the town hall definitely worth a visit.

The second, in addition to the Old Toomas, Town Hall swinger with a sturdy rose of winds and a depiction of Tallinn's large coat of arms attracts the attention of citizens and tourists, like the Town Hall headdress. Carved in stone, the date is 1627, when the previous one, the Town Hall kiver, was erected without reaching us. A lion holds the rod of the fluke.

Dominating the Town Hall Square, with a tall tower of 62 metres, it is one of the oldest town hall buildings in Northern Europe. It's over 620 years old. It was built on the site of a one-story building that had existed for a hundred years. City officials worked in the Town Hall until 1970. It is now open to the public and is used for official meetings and concerts. Unfortunately, I didn't get to go inside. But I took a good look at the facade. There are two original dragon-head drains on the facade of the Town Hall. They have decorated the Town Hall since the first third of the 17th century. Dragons were thought to drive away evil spirits. On the Town Hall Arcade, you can see the neck ring from the pillar of shame on the wall. Deep down in the arcade is an image of Justice from the first third of the 17th century. On the facade of the building you can see the image of the Last Judgment of the 16th century.

The old town hall in the main square of old town Tallinn really is quite special. There is no doubt when you are in the old town square it demands attention. Having approached the square from a number of angles over our trip it is easily visible from some way and up close it is just as impressive.
As the only intact gothic town hall standing it is certainly worth spending some time to admire and take photos. That being said at the moment it is hard to get the full side on shot as they are building the huts ready for the Christmas markets
