Former industrial district. Who would have thought he would turn into such a miracle? When you walk around Tallinn and walk in here, you're in a whole other world. This is where concerts take place. Port, hotels, cafes, shops, everything.

Rottermann Quarter was the first one seen in Tallinn, coming from the port.
Very interesting and attractive neighborhood, surprisingly mixing the old with the new. We liked the factory and warehouse aesthetic of the buildings while they are modern shopping centers, restaurants and cafes.
Very cool area to walk around.

Beautiful renovated area in an industrial loft style. Lively and very graphic streets where it is good to stroll through the narrow streets. Everything has a trendy, artist style, a bit bobo and full of charm.

If you like, as I do, places where architects of different eras give their best, you can not miss the Rotermann Quarter.
Just outside the old town, here is the place where Estonian architects gave vent to their incredible imagination without frills to revive this huge nineteenth-century industrial district that takes its name from its owner, made up of factories, plants, mills, warehouses (like the salt one that now houses the Estonian Architecture Museum). They have renovated, recreated, rebuilt, rethought every space and the result is a neighborhood to see and live.

Like Telliskivi, but in a very different way, the Rotermann district is another example - certainly successful given the number of people who populated its many bars and cafes when I went there this afternoon, almost by accident - of the recovery of an industrial zone, in this case linked to port activities. While retaining, appropriately, some vestiges of the previous settlement, such as a tall chimney and some warehouses, not all of which have yet been renovated, the urban planners who planned this operation have aimed to make this area of the city, adjacent to the ancient part, a place of hypermodernity, with gleaming buildings and sometimes bold profiles, where glass cement plays its far from secondary part. Tiled with day and night clubs, clothing stores of fashionable brands, restaurants, this Cosmopolis may like or appear as one of the many signs of abandonment of traditions and lifestyles less massified and richer in sociability (and this second is my opinion), but there is no doubt that it has helped to give the city that hosts it a new and captivating face.

We are now outside the old city gates and in the modern city. Lots of new buildings as this city has grown and modernized. You are close to the port and the ferry boats. This is a place for business.

This lively district at any time will delight you, it is modern and tasteful with its astonishing colors, these towers and superb and recent buildings, a "trendy" district par excellence, the local youth also appreciate it, a number of bars and restaurants in this place. renovated facades, delicious atmosphere, everything there to have a good time.

It’s the modern part of Tallinn. Nice advanced architecture mixed with the charming ancient style. Cool bars and shopping areas are around. Can’t wait till it’s completely built.

Totally underwhelmed by this particular area, despite hearing rave reviews from other people.
Most of the facilities don’t open till 10 in the morning, summer 11 bars, don’t even open until two added to that lot of them close early. There doesn’t seem to be any defined centre to this particular quarter or no communal entrance area to tell you where you are. All all in all, we thought it was rather poor.
