Having our own hotel here I must say that we have seen and seen this square again! But I must say that I found it very beautiful! It's basically between the old and the new city! Like the rest of Tallinn everything turns out to be very pleasant! So enjoy your visit to you people of TripAdvisor!

A lovely historical area to stroll through. There is a park nearby and restaurants such as Goodwin Steakhouse right nearby. There are markets here as well.

A nice atmosphere, very pretty old town, quiet and cozy. Some wooden craft shops and not only very nice. A small pub, run by a friendly and helpful guy, offering a great freshly prepared Kebab and good beer at great prices..

Viru Square is the most touristic entrance to the Old City of Tallinn, coming from the port.
You cannot miss it, everyone stops here for couple of pictures with Viru Gates. Beautiful flower shops and souvenir shops either. Don’t be rushed, there will be plenty more.

The current reduced area used to be large. Then the Viru Hotel was built on it, and later a large shopping mall was added to the hotel. Not even every search engine will find Viru Square on the map right now. The centre is a road and tram interchange before the fire.

A beautiful street in the old town of Tallinn. There are many cafés, restaurants and all kinds of small and large shops in the streets and alleys of the old town that invite you to linger and look. There is also live music in some places.

Nice square with interesting places. The gate of viru, the most famous of the city is a good area to visit, take photos and enjoy the old wall. Recomendable

A very busy place, where you enter the old town from the direction of the port. So if you arrive on a cruise ship or on a ferry, you will probably pass through this area. You will be greeted by a stone gate with turrets and some well-preserved old buildings. Places to eat and drink.
