Great canoe trip that a seasoned canoeist can do in 3-4 days or a group including kids can take their time with. Put in at Vanceboro and took out at Kellyland, a 4 night trip with 6 adults. Stayed first night at Porter meadow (short day but great fishing there). Paddles a long day out to Loon Bay and stayed one night and caught a great moon rise. Paddled another long day and stayed two nights at Egg Point, our favorite site. The small mouth bass fishing is great. Well maintained campsites with pit toilets (I recommend BYO toilet paper) quiet as can be. With good water levels this is a fun and decent paced river with some good rapids. Low water levels pose a challenge for the inexperienced but still a blast!

We have done this trip a few times, and it never fails to impress me! We put our canoe in at Vanceboro and paddled to Loons Bay. Great spots for camping along the way!
