2017年9月21日来的。
在国会山和华盛顿纪念碑之间，有一大块狭长的绿地，就是美国的国家广场，广场的四周有众多的国家级博物馆和纪念馆，每个场馆都非常有看头，单个地方都可以逛半天。
如果时间不够，拍拍照也不错。这些建筑造型各异，拍照打卡都很出片。

我们周三上午去参观了罗纳德·里根大厦和国际贸易中心，停车后参观了国家广场。沿着广场散步非常棒，这里有宽阔的开放道路，还能参观纪念碑和周边建筑物的美景。

我们乘坐大巴游览了这个神奇的地方，从林肯纪念堂走到华盛顿纪念堂的倒影池和二战纪念馆。马丁·路德·金纪念堂以及对朝鲜和越南的悼念也非常发人深省。这一切都是令人惊叹的壮观。我很高兴我们参观了。这个地区很安静，也不太热闹，这让我有点吃惊。我们玩得很开心。

从林肯纪念堂到华盛顿纪念馆，很令人敬畏，振奋人心。 看过了很多电影和新闻片，能在现实中看到真的太好了。一定要去看。

我和我丈夫带着我们3岁，1岁和13周大的孩子在这里度过了一天。非常有趣。我的女儿很喜欢旋转木马。他们只收现金，每人$3.50。抱着孩子的成年人也是同样的价格。旋转木马周围有长凳，还有一家食品店，里面有热狗，三明治，冰淇淋和其他小吃。我们在那里吃了午饭，然后跟孩子们在国家广场的草地上跑来跑去。这里有很多人正在野餐，看起来很棒。我们在华盛顿纪念碑前面买了冰淇淋。路边有很多餐车。华盛顿纪念碑值得一看。在那里闲逛了一会儿之后，我们继续步行前往林肯纪念堂。我们还坐在第二次世界大战纪念喷泉旁休息了一会儿。我们坐在水边，我们的女儿看着在这里游泳的几只鸭子，很开心。林肯纪念堂非常宏伟。我们三岁的孩子自己走上楼梯，我们可以推着双人婴儿车乘坐电梯。非常完美。我们推着三人童车（前排座椅不是并排的）在这里走动也很轻松。朝鲜战争纪念馆也很漂亮。我们真的很高兴带着孩子来这里。

清晨，我们走在步行道上，去看纪念碑和纪念碑。这是一个美丽的开放空间，有很多壮观的东西可以看。然而……倒影池居然是空的!真让人失望!

Can anyone who has recently been to the National Mall area of DC tell me if it's easy to find water to drink, especially a drinking fountain to refill a bottle? I have a disease where I have to drink a ton of water, and it would be really heavy to carry that much water. I plan to go in late April, so would the fountains be on?
Also how easy would it be to find gluten-free and dairy-free found in that area.

We are a family of 18 (2 families of 6, 1 of 4 and my husband and I. Mid March, we will be near Arlington National Cemetery and needing transportation over to the National Mall so we can walk or use the DC Connecter system. Other than a long subway ride, is there a faster way to get over there?

Hello!
My children and I will be spending time walking around the National Mall in August. Are there any locker rentals, particularly around the US Capitol Building? I will be carrying a backpack-cooler with bottled waters for my kids, but no liquids - not even sealed water bottles - are allowed inside the US Capitol Building nor it's coat check areas. Thank you!

I did not see any locker rentals. We did take empty water bottles, but you might not be able to take in a cooler. You can call their visitor center office or check on line for more info.

They work out at about $1 for 5 minutes but you'll need to buy a minimum of $10 worth of rides. Check the charge before you buy (the app will show this). Also, make sure you have access to internet to unlock the scooters. You'll also need to upload your Driver's licence for identification when you first download the app. We used 'Spin' and they were great but there are plenty of others.

I recommend catching the red circulator bus $1 across the street from union station. It circles the entire mall making a loop from Union Station to the Lincoln Memorial and back with stops near all the museums. Nice clean buses. $.50 for seniors kids ride free

I did not see any vendors at the National Mall. Everything is within walking distance so I am sure there is some place nearby.
