游览动物园是一个不错的选择！我们看到了这里所有的动物，它们都玩得很开心。里面有几家礼品店，商品各有特色。动物园里面的动物种类很多，但在去之前你最好查阅一下是否有你想看的——因为这里的动物并不是每种都有。事实上，我们想看的动物就有几个没有，很失望，但这可能跟当时的天气有关。总的来说，这里值得一游。

国家动物园是世界上最划算的动物园之一。还有什么地方可以花一整天的时间和家人一起去看珍稀美丽的动物呢（包括3只熊猫）而且免费入内，唯一的问题是，祖父母试图跟上一个活跃的7岁孩子的脚步，我们的孙子说除了美洲豪猪，我们什么动物都见过了。我们甚至在早上和下午看到了这3只熊猫。熊猫美和田田是熊猫贝贝的母亲和父亲。看到田田用他一直嚼着的竹竿从他的小水坑里捞出一个苹果非常神奇。美抓起里面有水的巨型威浮球，滚到她背上，用四只脚平衡30英寸的球，并从中喝水。贝贝一定是已经筋疲力尽了，因为他正躺在吊床上。对孙子和祖父母来说，这是非常美妙的一天。顺便说一句，国家动物园的网站上有熊猫现场摄制的照片。动物园里的食物很贵，但如果你愿意的话，你可以带外卖的食物和饮料进来，我们注意到动物园里到处都是冷柜。

免费入场，有很多的稀有动物可以看，动线规划不错，可以从不同角度看动物，适合带小朋友来，可以用一整天慢慢观赏

这里没有入选美国动物园前五名。然而这里确实有熊猫。许多鸟类展览都是封闭式空间的。如果在你所处的区域里有一个好的动物园，我是不会选择这里的。如果你没有看过圣地亚哥、哥伦布或布朗克斯动物园，你会更加喜欢这里的。

国家动物园给数不清的家庭带来了美妙的时光。进门是免门票的，充满惊喜。停车一整天只需要22美元，但是停车场很快就满了。你也可以在街上找一些地方停车，但那就绝对需要运气了。在朝向华盛顿市区的方向大约半英里处，有一个停车场，在周末的时候白天停车大约需要10美元。动物园里的大象、大猩猩、大型猫科动物和熊猫展览总是吸引我们一次又一次前来。

到达后，停车场特别拥挤。我们在D地段找到了22美元的现货。动物园是免费的。主要的景点是2只熊猫和熊猫展览。你可以整天看他们。许多熊猫行走在一个缓坡上。动物园里有常见的动物，狮子，老虎，猩猩，猿房，大象等。食物很贵，没有什么特别的。

We saw a lot of kids in wagons, do I would say yes.
Is there an age requirement to go alone or with friends? I am 14 and so are my friends.

Not that I know of...there's no admission fee or checks at the gate. Once inside, unless you are doing something to draw attention from security I doubt if anyone would notice you. There are cameras everywhere.

Yes, it probably will. Winter in DC is frigid and cold, and most people dont go on weekends in winter.
We are planning to stop at the zoo on our way to the beach. We will have a roof rack cargo container on the car. Does anyone know if there is a clearance limitation to park at the zoo?

You should be all set. School buses go in and out. Be sure to get your parking pass online before you go. You can not get same day tickets right now.

Hi,
I believe the National Zoo in DC is open 364 days a year. IF I remember correctly, the only day they close is Christmas Day.

We will betaking the metro from Arlington. Which stop would we get off at that makes it the easiest walk? Also I heard it is on a hill so where should we start to avoid the uphill walks. Also is there a shuttle that will take you back to the entrance?

There is a new free zoo shuttle bus from Woodley Park Station — so definitely use that metro station. Shuttle will stop in front of zoo and inside it. You can return to metro from either stop (shuttle will operate through end of September 2019 at this point.)
