The Wharf is one of my favorite places! So beautiful to walk through and so much going on between The Anthem, bars and restaurants, a fish market, and even an ice skating rink. I feel like this is DC's not-so-hidden treasure. I've eaten at Mi Vida, Little Chicken and Falafel Inc. and all were great.

The Wharf is located on the southern side of the National Mall by the river. It spans a few blocks and has quite a lot of things inside it, primarily bars and restaurants. The fish market is also here.
The restaurants here are on the expensive side so great if you are going for a celebration.
There are also quite a few things to look at around the Wharf as well. There was a Christmas tree on the dock and there was also a torch and seating at another. I thought it was a nice place to walk around and explore.

Finally – after four days in Washington-Downtown by taxi to the Potomac River/Washington Channel. Unfortunately, there is no boat connection e.g. from Lincoln Memorial to the new Hafencity. On the Bordwalk you walk past the marina, glass hotels and apartment buildings, numerous restaurants and bars, etc. There is a pontoon with comfortable seating. A beautiful place in Washington

The wharf was a short walk from our hotel so we paid a visit. It was lively, clean, and interesting. We walked around for a bit and stopped for dinner. It is definitely worth a visit.

We enjoyed the walking the wharf, lots of great places to eat and to sit and relax. We went back for dinner the next night just to get away from where we stayed in the federal triangle.

The Wharf DC is a fantastic destination for enjoying delicious food, a vibrant atmosphere, and stunning waterfront views. The restaurants offer a wide variety of cuisines at reasonable prices, making it easy to find something for everyone. With its relaxed ambiance and beautiful setting, The Wharf is a must-visit spot for anyone staying in DC. I personally visited multiple times during my three-day trip and loved every experience.

Loved the boardwalk. Great selection of eateries. Parking/Valet parking available. It was a cool, bright day which was nice for the visit.

A cool place to hang out for the summer since there are a lot of restaurants and shopping. Parking might be a challenge but it's easy to get to on foot.

I was not planning to visit, but am delighted that we did. It is well worth taking some time to explore. There are also plenty of bars, restaurants and entertainments to visit and keep everyone young and old amused.

Yes, The Wharf is metro accessible. Waterfront Station (Green Line) is an 8 minute walk. L'Enfant Plaza Station (Green, Yellow, Blue, Orange, Silver Lines) is a 12 minute walk. The Wharf also offers a free Neighborhood Shuttle to L'Enfant Plaza station. The shuttle runs every 10 minutes for the same hours as Metro. Visit the Wharf's webpage and select "Getting Here" to learn more.
