Ridiculous line to get in. We have been waiting for over one hour!!!! Poor management at best,,, it is unclear what the problem is but it is taking cars over 10 minutes to buy. Pass.

Such a fun day with the family! The weather was so nice, and the place is beautiful and inexpensive. Only 10 dollars per vehicle, and its so worth it. They have grills and bathrooms, trails. SO NICE.

I attended this range frequently sometimes during the summer months daily but less in winter because it’s outside. The range is well run professional and safe. They have recently remodeled the office area and have a well appointed and equipped shooting center well worth a visit.
They have a pistol and rifle range at the same location. I’ve been a member there for several years and I’d recommend it to anyone interested in the sport if shooting.
My tip would be if you’re heading to the range on a Friday in the summer get there early as the campers cause a slowdown at the gate. If you get past that issue …no problem you will indeed find a spot on the range without a problem.
If you’re a shooter and haven’t tried this range you’re missing out.

We have camped here four times during the past few years as we crisscrossed the country in our RV.
The park is, by far, the cleanest, efficient, and prettiest campground we’ve encountered in a big city. Hands down a must stay.
So why only a rating of 4 stars? Because the park has the worst reservation system. Totally frustrating. As an example, we could not book a three night stay because they were ‘full’. But we were able to book three different, consecutive one night stays. So we had to move every night to a different campsite. And the campsite on the third night was empty all three days. The Camp Hosts jokingly refer to this as the Cherry Creek shuffle. I call it a pain in the neck.
And with all the ‘campground is full’ signs posted everywhere but only 2/3 sites were actually filled you can bet the State is getting shorted.

Always a great place for an evening walk. Some of the best sunsets in Colorado at various times of the year. Lots of wildlife that you can see without having to travel too far

Horrible lines on weekends in the summer but the park itself is superb. Dog park is exceptional. Acres and acres of free roaming for our little Pugs!

Love this park. Not to be confused with the dog park that's right next to it, this state park has more trails than you'll be able to hike. Does get a bit hot in the summer, with limited cover, but that's a minor complaint -- go early! Also helps to go early to beat the crowds.

Dirty water, "crystal brown" as someone else said, lots of algae. Rangers are jerks, my husband got a ticket for no life vest - we were unaware of the law (our bad) but he got the ticket when he took the time to take back the life vest they had given him rather than leaving it on the beach

It was a beautiful ride thru the park. We did not pay the fee and did not get out. Just grinding Through. Not many animals. A few birds and prairie dogs. Pretty lake. Clean restroom

Such a great place to walk with friends! There are clear open trails and lots of miles to roam. There are bathrooms, and fantastic places to take sunset pictures by the water.

I don't think the park actually hosts one however, it is a great spot to watch all the others that are going on throughout the city.
