The tour guides were excellent. However, the transportation was a nightmare. Princess Cruise contracted with Exotic to take us to Myan Ruins. The bus had filthy windows, so one could not view the countryside on the two hour trip one way. The restroom was beyond a nightmare. Several seats were broken. My back has been killing me since.

We did a tour of the Xunantunich ruins outside of Belize. Our tour guide,Joyce was absolutely fantastic. We all learned a lot about Belize. Despite problems docking the
Ship she got us to the ruins and we were able to learn and enjoy our visit.
When returning to cruise ship there was an accident on the two lane road and we were delayed about two hours.
She was very professional in handling all of this. The ship was contacted and we were assured that they would be waiting for us.
She was smart, entertaining,and made this tour a great joy.
I highly recommend the Exotic tour company. They did a great job

By far the BEST tour we've had, and we have discerning taste! Thanks Bernie, Luther and Sydney for being our guides. The bus ride flew by with Bernie's comical and informative commentary. Luther kept us safe with his driving, and Sydney answered our questions and made the archeology come alive for us. You're a great team and we highly recommend your tour!

We visited Belize while on a cruise on the Royal Caribbean Serenade of the Seas. As the locals say "you have to see it to Belize it” We joined the Exotic tour team for a five and a half hour tour to swim with the Sharks and Rays at Caye Caulker. The wait to get on the speed boat that would take us to the Caye was not very long and allowed us to get some water at a local shop. Once on board the speed boat it was a 40-minute trip to the Caye where we got off the boat, had a bathroom break and a few minutes to look around and pick out our gear they provided. Everything was clean and sanitized for our use.
Once back on the boat we visited one stop where we could snorkel on a nice reef with quite a bit of live coral and sea life which was refreshing to see. So many times on these kinds of excursions you are swimming above a basically dead reef with very little sea life to see. For anyone visiting the reef, please be aware of your fins and body. We had some fellow tour visitors who were slapping the reef with their fins and even broke off a couple sea fans with their carelessness.
We reboarded the boat and moved to a second location where there were dozens of nurse sharks and dozens of rays for us to swim with. It was quite amazing to see so many animals swimming so close to you. I had been on another similar trip in Grand Cayman and the wildlife was nowhere near as abundant. The guides held a couple of the nurse sharks and allowed some of the visitors to pet them carefully and under a very watchful eye.
A warning for visitors, the current was quite strong so if you visit with smaller children or are not a swimmer, please consider this before entering the water.
Once we reboarded the boat we returned to Caye Caulker for a lunch at the Lazy Lizard beach front restaurant. The food was good and reasonably priced (for an island beach resort). We paid about $100US for four meals, drinks and tip.
The ride back to Belize City was about an hour but we stopped along the way for a special activity to feed some Tarpons. This was a really cool bonus because you held the sardines over the edge of the board and tarpons about 36" long would jump up and take them out of your hand. On the way back the crew made sure there was enough rum punch and fruit juice to go around.
All in all, it was a very enjoyable trip for the family with a warm and friendly crew.

Oh my goodness u have to visit Belize it was a really really nice place. The beaches was really really nice the white Sandy beaches n the red snapper fish was very very nice. The island is very nice. The tour guide was knowledgeable. We went to visit the monkey boy those animals r really smart. They put their hand in ur pocket n wow it's something to experience. Went on the mountain to a flee market for shopping the view was out if this works really had a very nice time in Belize would go back Again really recommend a trip there. People r supper nice. Great trip

Excursion staff were very friendly and helped with all aspects of getting on and off the boat including equipment demonstrations. Tour guides explained all safety precautions and knew the ocean surroundings and wildlife very well. I especially enjoyed watching a staff member bring up a moray eel for show and tell. The rum punch refreshment was great. 100% recommend this tour and would most definitely do this again.

We had a great time again with this tour company, but with a different excursion. Last time we visited the ruins. This time we did the Sharks, Rays, Barrier Reef Snorkel & Island Escape. Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our experience in Belize. We had a couple of snorkeling stops followed by a stop at a local restaurant for lunch. On the way back to the ship we also got to feed some of the tarpons by hand and enjoy some rum punch. The guides were all great and worked to ensure everyone was safe while they were in the water. They were also able to point out much of the aquatic life, including tons of sharks and rays.

They did a great job of making sure everyone got to touch a shark and ray. The first snorkel on the reef we saw an eel, rays, starfish, conch, and sea urchins sooo many fish. They did a great job. It was VERY crowded. Both the boat and the reef.

We took this tour through Carnival. We've taken this exact excursion 3 times and this tour company was the worst. We waited 45 minutes at the pier in the rain to be cattle herded onto this tiny speedboat. There was over 50 people packed like sardines to do the reef and shark snorkel and stop at caye caulker. After the captain told us to put on our life jackets he then drove right into a storm at 40 miles per hour with no protection but a Bimini top. He had a cloth over his face and kept wiping his eyes because he couldn't see. Visibility was zero!!!! The ride was bumpy cold and miserable. If we hit debris or a sand bar we would be seriously hurt. It was reckless and unsafe. We got to the reef and the crew basically said jump over the side. It sucked getting 50 people on and off the boat. The current was strong because of the weather. Same thing at the Rays and sharks. Being jostled and bumped for hours. Was thankful to get off the death trap and get to the island. Then they start the sales pitch to fill out the order for lunch at the Lazy Lizard and they made it seem like you couldn't eat anywhere else. Having been there before I walked 2 blocks and got a full Belizeian breakfast for 4 dollars US. The rest of the tour got suckered in to paying 20 dollars for chicken. Very misleading! I've also complained to Carnival that you should have used the correct type of boat and limited the amount of people and ensured our safety. RIP OFF!

With Mein Schiff 6 we docked in Belize on 14.2.2019. A tender port. The tending went smoothly and the guides were already waiting at the port of Belize.
With a speedboat we went to the island Caye Caulker, alone the island was just stunning. There we spent 30 minutes, had time to change clothes and get a first impression.
From there we continued to the first snorkel stop. Which was snorkeling with the rays and sharks. Unique experience. Absolutely only to be recommended. You get so close to the animals, they are swimming around you, coming so close you would not expect. It's just fascinating. After about 30 minutes we continued to the coral reef, 30-45 minutes of swimming and snorkling. It's worth it. 2 guides swimming with you, showing you hiding animals, moray eels, shells, etc. Also this part was just fascinating.
On the way back to the island Caye Caulker there is the delicious RumPunch.
The mood on the boat was consistently good, but after that even better: D
On the island you have plenty of time to explore the island, have something to eat or just relax.
We recommend a walk over the island and here especially the side paths and contact with locals. The people there are very friendly and in this way we got to see a crocodile, a seahorse Station, an area with big fishes, i forgot how they are called, which you can feed, first seems unspectacular, but when you stand there, you gonna hear people screaming because they got scared of the fish jumps. Definitely worth a visit.
For me, this trip was the best trip during this Holiday. At first skeptical .... who would like to be eaten by sharks on Valentine's Day .... afterwards positively surprised.
The guides very friendly, funny and helpful.
Belize for me a country that I had never heard of before, today a country that I will definitely visit again and then longer than just a day. For me a whole trip worth it to get to know Belize and the people there better.
Thanks a lot for this great day to Alfredo and everyone else from the team. We'll meet again for sure!

The sharks and ray tour is it on a boat or beach. If it is on a boat does it have a restroom?

The one we went on was on a small speedboat with no bathroom. There was no freshwater shower. You couldn't even move. It was difficult getting on and off the boat in a current up a small ladder. I saw a video of people who booked it outside of carnival and not through Exotic tours and the boat was much nicer. The first time we took this excursion through princess cruises the boat was a double decker catamaran with a full bathroom and a staircase that went down into the water that made it really easy to get on and off. If Carnival won't tell you the tour company, or if it is Exotic tours I wouldn't recommend you book because their boat was small, uncomfortable and the tour was badly run. I hope you have a terrific time . The reef and shark Ray alley itself as well as Caye Caulker is awesome.

Hi! We are coming to Belize, via Carnival Cruises, in 2 weeks. The whole family wants to snorkel, and enjoy the beach...I have (2) 8 year olds, a 10 year old, a 15 year old, and 17 year old. How much is it per adult, and child? And what is the age limit, on the childrens ticket?
Also, I was wondering how long the excursion is, and exactly what it entails. Thank you in advance! My family is so excited to see your beautiful country!!!

take boat out but do it. my 10 yr old daughter and 10 yr old nephew never snorkeled and this was their favorite. crew was patient and helpful

We didn't pre-book. Once we arrived in SP we walked a block or so from the airport to Moncho's Rent-A-Cart and rented one there. I believe we paid $50 - $60 (US) for 4 hours.

Would this tour be appropriate for a 4-year-old and a 12-year old? They both like the beaches & we're looking for a tour where they can go to a calm, clean beach. We'll be there while on a cruise in March.

This company offers a variety of tours. My 79 yr. Old Mother and I went to Altun Hu Mayan ruins. The tour was great. 'Jungle' Joe was very informative and was able to answer questions

On average, how many people are snorkeling during the guided tour? After that is over, can we snorkel on our own? We have our own equipment. I suppose if there are many cruise ships in Belize City, the island and reef will be crowded with tours? Thank You.

There were around 45 (?) people on the boat that took us from Belize City out to the snorkeling area.
After a short stop at the small island (to change, use the restroom if necessary), some people stayed to just have beach time and the rest of us, I think there were maybe 35 people, motored out a short distance to the reef for our snorkeling tour.
We didn't see any other groups in our area while we were on our tour.
When we returned to the small island after the tour (where there was food, a changing area, bathrooms and sandy beaches)
there was time and opportunity to snorkel by wading out.
