Just came back from the Butterfly Spa. Joleen provided my service. She was very pleasant and gave me a good facial. They use Eminence skin product which is the same my spa at home uses and I really like.
Remember you are in Belize so the facilities
are not a fancy as say a top end hotel but it was still adequate for a freshen up on vacation.

Sharen and Nancy made my wedding preparations so memorable. Nancy took the time and care to give me both a beautiful gel manicure and a lovely pedicure as I relaxed preparing for our afternoon ceremony. Sharen, who I met with two days before, did exactly as I requested, giving me an updo with the front of my head french braided.
We agreed I would be back late the next afternoon for corn rows which I had never done before and my daughter had highly recommended as something definitely fun! When I returned Friday afternoon, Sharen began my corn rows, and when I discovered she was doing more than we originally agreed finished my head for the price quoted. Nancy then fixed my chipped nail to send me home looking fabulous! I have had so much fun wearing my corn rows for the past 9 days and am sad to take them out.

I had a great afternoon of relaxation at Butterflies. Jessie was awesome and made my time there wonderful. I had a massage at the end of the dock that was out of this world and then finished off with a facial and body wrap. Everyone at the spa was welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. Thanks for the fabulous day!

I had the worst deep tissue massage ever in my life. First of, seeing that my "massage therapist" Jackie had inch long nails I should have ran away immediately. Bummer I did not. Largely the massage consisted of gently rubbing oil all over my body without any concept of muscles, pressure point, any of that. Just soft circular motions all over, sometimes wiping fingers on my hair... I did confirm that no misunderstanding was occurring and was assured that it was indeed a "deep tissue massage"... Well, I decided to be polite and hold on till the end... Big mistake. At the end Jackie put her knuckles into my shoulder muscles... It hurt... for 2 days. My muscles seized and I could not sleep. End result - no relaxation, wasted time, 2 days of vacations spoiled with headaches resulted from the inflamed shoulder muscles... Oh, and the cost of the procedure matches expensive Spa's in Washington area. It does not come cheap.
After the manager of our resort found out about the incident, she confronted the Spa. The next day I was offered.... drumroll... a free massage with the spa. Needless to say I stayed away from them as far as I could.

Our resort recommended the Butterflies Spa. it was a short five-minute walk down the beach. We're used to the fabulous spas within the Cancun and Riviera Maya resorts and didn't know what to expect. It was very small and rather sparse but seemed to be CLEAN and well kept. We were able to book the couples room for a 90-minute massage at the amazingly low price of $100 each. While the massage itself was fine and very relaxing, we did miss the special aromas and the ethereal spa music that we're used to. If you're more interested in getting a good massage and less interested in the "spa experience," you can't go wrong at Butterflies. They even drove us back to the resort afterwards, which was unexpected.

Come to relax and leave feeling like a bowl full of jello! The massage requested was 'deep tissue' and I got what I asked for. The prices are fair, the service is friendly, the staff is courteous and competent. The atmosphere is simple and comfortable.

The massage was nice, the massage therapist and other spa staff was kind, attentive and capable of performing a good service. Most notable was the price. Many international destinations have cost 25-30 percent more than the cost here so that was a pleasant surprise.
I highly recommend the ocean dock massage. The sounds of the ocean amplifies the experience.

Excellent value for an excellent massage. Not full of the bells and whistles that most upscale hotel spas have come up with, but certainly worth the money (a fraction of what most spas charge).

We had a relaxing massage on the dock at 5:00 on our last night in Belize. It was so relaxing as we listened to the sounds of the sea on a beautiful late afternoon.
