All the other glowing reviews are spot on. It’s hard to add anything new. I did the night snorkel and mile drift snorkel-both were wonderful experiences. Herbert, Paige and family are awesome!!! I had a minor emergency and they helped me out without hesitation. I left with so much knowledge about the reef, island culture, history, the wildlife. I recommended their business to everyone I ran into while vacationing there. I will definitely be back and will only use their family run business. They are passionate about what they do, very accommodating and safety is their utmost concern.

We went out on two snorkel trips, the daytime mile drift and a night snorkel. Both experiences were awesome. Herbert and crew were all extremely nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. They have a deep affection for the reef and it shows.
I would recommend this company to experienced snorkelers and novices alike. I have snorkeled quite a bit and rate myself a strong swimmer. That said, on our own we snorkeled quite a bit off the shore in West End and West Bay. Those experiences were nothing compared to what we saw taking a boat out with Roatan Ocean Adventures. It is absolutely worth the time and money, and you'll be supporting a small business run by capable, kind people. Highly recommend!

My husband and I did this excursion while on a cruise to Roatan. The pick up was seamless and we were the only ones on the boat. We have done many snorkeling excursions and this by far was the best. Preston was professional and knowledgeable of the sealife we encountered. The crew were also very attentive and kind. This was our favorite port and excursion. We can’t wait to return and recommend to all of our friends and family. Oh and included in the price were photos Preston took during snorkeling(see below). And the driver(Anne) was great she offered to stop along the way to look for souvenirs. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Herbert and his team are the best. Highly recommended. I did the mile long snorkel adventure and it was great. We saw a shipwreck and were over the reef for more than an hour which was perfect. They picked me up and dropped me off, everyone was super friendly and accommodating. A small family business that I intend to support again.

Amazing place in every single aspect, we visit this place with my wife and we were recieved by the owner Herbert and his wife Paige. They were very attentive and friendly. We did some snorkling with Justin and Preston and it was a 5 star service, and not to mention the coral reef, it was gorgeous with a huge variety of fish. We will definitely come back again. 100% recommended!

Best day of sloths, snorkeling, and beach time! This was my second time using ROA and the experience was just as fun and memorable! The snorkeling was simply amazing and we appreciated the small number in our snorkel group (8)! The beach we went to, which had a bar for drinks and food, had recently opened and was private and very relaxing! We also did the sloths/monkeys and that was a great time!
Overall, this is a top notch company to book an cruise excursion in Roatan!

My goodness! Where do I begin? We (party of 6) booked through a third party, because of the many options out there. Our day consisted of zip lines, chocolate store, lunch at a local place, iguana farm, and snorkeling the drop off. Yes, that's a lot, but this day was one of the greatest highlights of any of my travels abroad. It was that phenomenal!
I'm not going to detail every step here, because that's not what this is about. I'll tell you about the people/company. It is family owned, and they welcome you like you are in their family as well. Kisha was our guide/driver for the day, and is by far the best we have ever had. She made sure the entire day was about what we wanted to do instead of a schedule. She and her entire family seemed more concerned that we enjoy ourselves than they did any sort of schedule. In short, we felt like VIPs.
The rest of her family at the scuba/snorkel location were just as welcoming and friendly. I can't overstate this. There's a difference in feeling like you're on a tour and feeling like someone is welcoming you into their country and wants to show you all the beauty that it contains. To us, it was like we were welcomed into their home.
I can't recommend this place enough. I pray that we will be back. I want to see more and do more in Roatan. And if I do, I will make sure it is through these people.
Thank you again, Kisha and your family. We couldn't have had a better time. It was a pleasure to meet all of you.

We went on the three stop snorkeling tour with our son and had a great time! Herbert and everyone on the team were informative and very friendly! We had the option of a beach club or floating bar after the snorkeling; we chose the floating bar and had delicious ceviches and tasty beverages with, again, very friendly service! We highly recommend this outfit!

My wife and I went on two adventures with Roatan Ocean Adventures - snorkel hopping and kayaking and snorkeling. Herbert and his team are great guides. They are knowledgeable about all things pertaining to the reef and the environment and deeply respectful of it. Maintaining the integrity of the reef and its environs is critically important to this group. Our outings were perfect....they were not rushed and they made every attempt to assure our outings were in line with our interests and expectations. I was especially impressed with this outfit and their attempts to reseed parts of the reef they believed needed special attention. they are actually starting an underground garden to support rebuilding parts of the damaged reef system. We were staying in West End and with the booking, which was very reasonably priced, they included picking us up at our rental house to get to their shop 30-45 minutes away. You can't go wrong with this outfit if you're looking for a reef adventure.

I see great reviews of Roatan Ocean Adventures and have several questions about The Roatan Experience tour:
1. Does snorkeling depart from Little French Key? My husband doesn't like to snorkel, and I'm wondering if he can skip the snorkeling and stay at the beach.
2. How long is the snorkeling part of the tour?
3. Is snorkeling at the MesoAmerican Barrier Reef?
4. How long is the stay at Little French Key?
5. What are the departure and return times to the cruise port? (Our ship is scheduled to dock at 8:00 am and depart at 6:00 pm on a Tuesday.)
6. Does ROA offer a tour that includes everything in The Roatan Experience but without the zip lines (which we don't mind skipping).

Mr. Woods, the owner, will do whatever he can to modify the trip to your specifications. We loved this tour and can't wait to return to Roatan and do everything all over again with ROA.

How long is the snorkel hopping & beach break tour? And what's the breakdown of time spent snorkeling and time spent at the beach? Thanks for the help!

The snorkel hopping and beach break is about four or more hours. Snorkeling time is 30minutes at each stop and sometimes a little longer if guests want more time in the water. Total time snorkeling is about two hours and beach time is decided after the snorkel part of the tour depending on how long guests wants to hang at the beach and timing of cruise ships time.

Hey Guys-
Found your company through TripAdvisor and based on the reviews it seems you are the Go To guys for a great snorkel trip. I have look through your web site and I am interested in more information.
We are a family of four, 2 -50 something adults and twin boy/girl 18 years old. We all have extensive swimming and snorkeling experience. We are sailing on the Norwegian Getaway docking in Roatan on Tuesday, May 24th. We will be in port 10AM to 6PM.
We are interested in either the snorkel hopping and beach break trip or the 1 mile drift snorkel. Having snorkeled often we're hoping to see new experiences that are different from other locations. Stopping for a beach break and drinks afterwords would be great. One other requirement or request. Both my daughter and wife would like to have time to visit the stores in the pier area (or town area, not sure of the layout of the area) and not come close to missing the ships boarding time. With this in mind what trip would work best or do you recommend something else? What is the length of time of your trip from pick up point at the dock to return to the dock?
One other thing. While we are not certified divers we have done "Resort dive" or introductory dives at least 4 times.

To answer a few of your question i would recommend the snorkel hopping because of the different sites you visits, you'll see more. You'll have lots of time to visit a beach and get back with lots of time to spare for shopping. total time of the tour maybe four hours.
