Great Excursion on Roatan best tour ever!
2021年9月
Had a great Excursion with Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas to Gumbalimba Park Sept 2021. Our guide August was the best. He was very knowledgeable of everything we saw on the tour. I would recommend this tour and especially August!

Great guide and animal encounter
2021年8月 • 夫妻情侣
Loved this so much. Our guide Alan was great. Funny and very knowledgeable. He showed us many native plants that are used culinary and medicinally. He did a great job talking about the history of the island and led us through the interactive area for macaw and white faced monkeys. I had monkeys as pets growing up so was super excited to get to hang out with them. My husband was hesitant but once they became friends he loved them.

It’s apparent the animals are well cared for. Love that they aren’t caged and can live in the wild as they should.

We didn’t do the zip or pool but if I get back to Honduras I’ll spend the whole day there!

Zip line from hilltop to park. In the park enjoy the pool and museums. Don't miss the animals. You get to pose with monkeys and macaws. I lost a collar button but the macaw was polite about it 😀. The way they treat their animals shows a lot of love and care.

Mobility challenged Gumbalimba experience
2021年5月
Roatan is just coming out of Covid-19 and with cruise ships not coming many of the activities are less expensive with not as much available. That was the same at Gumbalimba Park. I wanted to share the experience of mobility challenged persons since this is not really addressed very much. At the time of our visit, admission was $25 per person and that included a 7 person motor cart with a driver guide. It was dry season, so the waterfalls and streams were dried up. The pool and the zip line were not operational nor was the snack bar open. These things did not bother us, because we would not have been able to do the zip-line anyway. Angel was our driver/guide and our own private guide, Channin Bodden, went with us as well. We saw the iguanas, monkeys and parrots (with posses and photos) and went into the insectarium and cave. I ventured out on the hanging bridge as well. Our guide was terrific and he and our own guide took photos for us. It was very enjoyable and definitely worth the price. I only saw us and one other family group there at the time, so we got a lot of individual attention. This was definitely an activity that mobility challenged individuals can enjoy while in Roatan.

A day filled with adventure- zip lining, horseback riding, iguanas, monkeys & parrots and some great tour guides Henry & Deron
2021年6月 • 好友
We were picked up at our hotel and went straight to the zip lines. It is 13 lines going from the top down to the beach. Our guides were great in strapping us and taking videos and pictures of us! We then went to the park where we spent a good amount of time with the parrots and monkeys. We also saw iguanas who gather in 1 spot to feed. Alexis was wonderful with the animals and answered all our questions while we took pictures. We then headed to horseback riding which took us out to a beautiful beach which began in a wooded trail first. We highly recommend this tour for what it offered and the awesome guides who made it even better!

Day with nature, Roatán Paradise island
2021年3月 • 独自旅游
Most important is that the animals are free, well fed and trained just enough to gently interact with visitors with trainer present and to come back at dinner time to be safe at night, away from attackers (human or animals).
The animals form bond only with trainers, and is beautiful to see. I despise circus, zoos, and using animals for entertainment. Only support sanctuaries and these types of parks. Teaching respect. The turism supports them, and they are closed. I had a chance to evaluate the conditions and still they are doing the right thing for the animals. They have earned my respect. Support the places that care for the well being of animals.

Exciting Canopy Zip Line & Fun Preserve Tour!
2020年2月
We booked an excursion through the cruise ship and this was recommended. The four of us were excited to do zip lining in the canopy. We had one person with us who had never done any zip lining before and although nervous at first, he ended up a pro by the end.

We totally enjoyed it and there are 15 lines! It took quite a while to get down. We were dropped off at the top of the course/mountain and greeted by the tour guides who were all knowledgeable and friendly. They geared us up and most importantly double and triple checked our harnesses. Although we were in a large group, it was very organized and loads of fun.

We had a woman that was a little overwhelmed at first so one of the guides went with her. He did all the work and she was able to experience it. After a while, she wanted to go by herself and had no problem doing it.

I thought the equipment and the riggings were very secure. Everything looked fairly new. Some of the platforms were a little small once there were alot of us on them. The guides all have walkie-talkies and they would hold up the next person once the platforms got full. At one point we saw several monkeys and they came right up on the platform.

The total trip down took about an hour and a half. Once at the bottom, we were at the beach. It is a beautiful area and our excursion continued through the animal preserve. We enjoyed that too - the walk may be strenuous for some as there is a good number of stairs in the beginning. You also walk across a swinging rope bridge and that was pretty scary. It was a good ways across a pond of water but it was fun and we were glad to get across but also glad we did it. You do have the option to walk around the pond and you do not have to do the bridge.

There are a couple stations where you get to interact with Capuchin monkeys (adorable) and colorful parrots.

We really enjoyed the whole experience. One person in our group had a bad ankle and didn't want to walk around the Preserve so he went to the beach while we were gone.

Two concerns:
1. After the Preserve Tour, we were taken back to where the lockers and photo pick up was. There wasn't anyone at the counter for us to look at our photos.
2. Then, we were not sure where to go from there. Our excursion was advertised as four hours and we were past that but no one was escorting us out of the park (like normally happens on excursions). What we finally found out is that the cruise shuttles were nearby and they left every 15-30 minutes to go back to the port. So we could have stayed longed, if we chose. That part was not clear.

It was still worth the Excellent rating though!
