Definitely a must do experience.
We swam up to the Reef Rider as it was anchored off West Bay. As we had some stuff that I wanted to keep dry, I did my first trip to the boat to get a “life preserver”.
My wife sat in the ring with a bag pack over her head. I pulled her from the beach to the boat. That was kind of fun !
It was great. Of course we had a couple of drinks (very reasonable). We jumped off the boat to say that we did it. And later enjoyed the sun set just before we pulled anchor.
Included in our drinks (2 per person) we got a pleasant ride up top to West End. The captain gave us some insights on the island and beach fronts.

Hanging at the Mayan Princess - we look our in the water and see this cool looking floating bar - we watch as people climb up the ladder to get on it and watch as people dive off and thought - this is so something we have to do - and I am so glad we did - there are ropes you can hang on to if you are not a strong swimmer - but myself, husband and 9 year old swam out there and had a great time!! Great drinks - cool music and great people!!! We will be back in June and will definitely be back on the reef rider!!!

We ventured out here a few times during our trip and it was a lot of fun. The owners are great and welcome you onboard with a free shot of rum punch. Drinks are reasonably priced especially for beer and you can choose to sit at the bar, jump off the top deck or in my case grab a life jacket and just float in the water while they hand your drink to you! If you don't fancy swimming up to it (or in the case of too many beer swinming back from it) they can arrange a water taxi for you. They typically turn up at West Bay beach around 11am and if you want to stay onboard you can watch the sunset while they work their way back to the West End. Worth a visit or two.

We stayed at Infinity Bay and saw this boat float by and thought "what was that??" Discovered it is a swim up bar...Heaven on four 'toons! It's a very short swim from the beach near Banama Rama and defnitiy worth it. The prices are the same as the beach bars, if not better. Great blood Mary's and mojitos and nobody cares if your money is wet from the swim ;) The couple who own this floating bar are great to chat with and get ideas for local sight seeing ideas and offer you tips on how to navigate the island like a local. You can take your own snorkeling gear out and use their life jackets to swim behind the boat to see eels, sea turtles and whatever else is out that day. We stopped by 3 times during our stay and will be back the next time we visit Roatan!

This place is so much fun! It pulls up into West Bay around 11am each morning and you just swim, kayak or paddle board your way over. Drinks prices are identical to anything offered on the beach and the lower deck stays really nicely shaded. Make sure to venture up to the top deck and jump off the plank! Lovely family that runs the boat, we had equally fun times visiting when it was a more party atmosphere and when it was more low key and we had a chance to chat with the owners. Their son Robert is awesome and was always helpful getting everyone back into their kayaks as needed. He also has very strict orders to push anyone that dillydallies on the plank... cause I mean... it is a pirate ship! ;)

3 of us joined Dave and Melanie on the West End at 10:30am for an 11am departure for the West Bay. Had an excellent day swimming, jumping off the boat and listening to good tunes. Would highly recommend! The minimum to ride is 2 drinks - of course we ordered more because we wanted to support this awesome entrepreneur and his family. Outside the drink min, admission was free! Unbelievable. A must do!!

This place was fun. We sat for the better part of our afternoon and just soaked up the sun, and drank 2$ beers. They have a fun little part of the boat you can jump off of. Good music and over all just fun. We accidentally got our phone wet, and they put it in the engine room to dry off. We'll after a few to many beers. We left without our phone. :( But low and behold in the morning we got our phone back. The same people own and run the bar, and they were wonderful. You won't be disappointed.

It was a fun new thing to try while in Roatan. We swam up to the boat with a credit card tucked in our swimsuits. It was neat having drinks on a swim up bar. the only downside was they had announced they accepted credit cards, but once we got out there we found out about the $20 minimum. This wasn't a really problem since we were in a group, but I could see this being problematic if I was alone.

We were staying at the Mayan Princess in West Bay. Even though it is an all inclusive resort we were having so much fun we spent an entire afternoon on the Reef Rider. The drinks were great and jumping off the platform was so much fun. We also had Dave call to shore and order us a pizza that was delivered by water taxi! It was a good time and would recommend it for a day of fun and sun.

Our large group had fun at the floating bar! The owners were nice and flexible. We were especially pleased with the second snorkelling spot, although we were under the impression that we would go farther out to the sea.
Drinks were delicious and inexpensive, and the boat with the upstairs is fun. We were happy to play our own music and dance!
It is the best way to enjoy the sunset if you are staying in West End.
