Tour was of Seaside Village with Lester as our guide. He was a delightful guide with a lot of good knowledge of his country.

If you are interested in your own tour of the island, contact Victor Bodden in Honduras to arrange for a driver for the day. We were lucky and our driver, Wordy, gave us an excellent tour and some history as we drove the island. Wordy took us to the tallest point on the island, through small villages, and then to the beach where we had a few drinks and relaxed in the shade of palm trees. Finally we stopped at a mountainside café and had a whole fried fish, plantains, rice and beans, and of course a few more drinks. We even tried iguana while free-range iguana and chickens passed slowly by the open-air dining area. The cost for the all-day island tour was $90 for the small but comfortable car, or $30 each for our party of 3. This compares very favorably to the much larger tour vehicles that cost $200 to $500 for the day and we made our own itinerary. If you contact Victor B., you might get lucky and get Wordy as your driver or just ask for him by name.

The park is beautiful! You will see wild monkeys, iguanas and parrots.
150 years old cotton tree, bread tree and other flora-fauna....
The beach in the park was descent but fairly small with a lot of seagrass on the buttom. Zip line is not included you will see need to pay extra $45 p/p
But the staff are friendly and helpful.

This was my family's first zip-line experience. I believe all of us would do it again. The guides and staff were very personable and professional. I wished i would have had a camera to get a family photos in our zip-line gears and in action. Couldn't get the best close ups.
Our 4 guides were very, very entertaining and took personal care ...worth the deal! Did 11 zip lines! Sooooo much fun with the help of the experts that these guys were. PRESTON, JOSHA, BRENT AND RICHIE. Super helpful! South Shore has some awesome guides and they should know that they are worth every dollar we spent for our memories. All 6 of us in our group were newbies. At the end I can say, piece of cake!m Thanks for making this such an amazing adventures guys!

We were able to make advanced arrangements online by email for the tour. The guide met us at the gate of the cruise ship; and picked us up in an immaculate, air conditioned tour bus! We went to the Shell factory where they carved conch shells; and got a private back tour, saw native dancing, ate at fabulous out of the way restaurants, and stopped at many unknown artisan shops. We saw the iquana farm, and were able to take breath taking photos of the island. Best of all this tour guide knows the fauna, wildlife, history, and people! You WILL see it all, and leave feeling like you belong in Roatan!!! We visit 2-3 times a year, and rely on Roatan Tours for advice on snorkling, fishing, dining, shopping and FUN!
