This shop caught my attention because of its upcycled products - tin roof: magnets; sea glass and shells: bracelets; etc.
They have quite a selection of what I would all local crafts. The name of your artist is on what you buy.
Oh - and the prices are great!

Clever use of trash into items of interest. Inventive craft things to take home. Friendly shop easy walking distance. Bars nearby while your spouse shops here.

If you find yourself in Roatan, buy some unique gifts in this lovely local store. Everything in here was handmade by a local artisan and every penny goes straight back into the community. Your money benefits the hard working locals rather than the cruise lines or a sweatshop in China. For a really memorable visit, stick around and chat with some of the lovely craftsmen and women who sell their wares here. You won’t regret getting to know them. Thanks Yourgan, Pedro, and Estralita!

Skip the dock around NCL. Go outside the dock entry, turn right at the gate and go 2 blocks. Shop is on the right. Unique gifts, good pricing, friendly volunteers staff the shop and will help you find gifts for everyone on your list. It was a nice relaxing shop without the high pressure sales pitch you get at the booths on the dock. Bring cash, they don't take cards.

This is THE store to visit if you are ever in Roatan! All the proceeds go to the people who make the crafts and they are all hand made. Totally worth the spend!

The people here are amazing! Their determination to create is incredible. All of the items sold are to benefit the artists and their families. Definitely a great place to shop!

The couple running the store started it as a way for local artisans to sell their wares to tourists visiting, particularly by cruise ship. Not a single t-shirt to be seen! Nice, well made items, attractive to all. To get there, turn right outside the gates to the cruise port, walk about 100 m to a blue house on the sea side.

We visited Roatan via a cruise. The cruise drops you off in a gated, tourist trap site but we exited to walk around the real city. If you're looking for local shopping, real things (not manufactured and slapped with "Roatan" on it), please stop by here! Bob and Debi are doing amazing work helping locals find a trade and teaching them business skills as a way to better their lives (going to school, providing for families, etc).
We bought some REAL handmade gifts to bring back home and couldn't be happier. Plus, they knew the locals and we asked where to eat and got great advice.

We were on a cruise on the Carnival Breeze and went to Roatan when there was a change of plans. It wasn't our original stop and the heat was terrible. There were some excellent examples of their island life.

So glad we visited this shop! It has a great variety of handmade items, so much nicer than the usual souvenir stuff. We shopped here late in the day and wished we had more time! But the good thing is, you can buy some of the items by mail order on the website. I ordered from the site and it arrived 2 weeks later. Now I like to check it periodically to see what's new!
