Belle prestation pour découvrir les fondamentaux des Amish.

Nous sommes venus de Chicago pour une visite à la journée dans le pays Amish; nous n'avons pas été déçus. Après 3 heures de bus, nous sommes arrivés dans cette ville acceuillante en pleine campagne. Suzanne nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de bonne humeur et nous avons démarré notre tour du pays. Explications et histoire dans le bus, puis déjeuner traditionnel, visite d'une ferme (fabrication de fromage de chèvre) et balade en buggy. Une belle journée même si nous n'avons pas suffisamment vécu et compris la vie traditionnelle vie de cette population.

Self Guiding Audio Tour of Illinois Amish Country

If you want an informative tour of the Arthur Amish, ACM Tours is the way to go about it. They have different options for the tour and are happy to customise the experience for the visiting groups. We chose the self guided audio tour option, because we wanted to do things at our own pace.

They gave us a map and an Audio CD, which we played in the car. As long as you drive at a certain speed and follow the driving directions provided, the audio will help identify all main points of interest in the area, like certain farms, schools, certain businesses, a cemetery and so on. Along with this, you will also learn about the Amish and their lifestyle and history.

The audio CD is on loan and needs to be returned to the store.
