Good place to enjoy a cocktail and view the ocean and do some local shopping. Some restaurants, bars, beauty spa and jewellers to keep u relaxed and nice escape from the busyness of the city. Easily accessible via an Uber. The Slipway has a Hotel here as well. Clean, well maintained and safe to walk around and enjoy the coastline.

We really enjoyed visiting the mall. Some great craft shops and good restaurants. Very full of character and a pleasure to visit.

Great shopping area connected to the hotel. There’s no cars allowed here so a safe place to walk around here, even with kids. Some of the stores are outside some are inside and even a playground for the kids. I want official stores for crocs in sketchers

This market was nice. There was an area in brick/mortar stores plus an area of traditional market stalls that were outdoors. The market is right on the water and had a nice boardwalk area with seating. Restaurants and eateries looked nice, but I didn’t eat them. The vendors were definitely trying hard to sell their wares, but I don’t find them pushy to the point of feeling uncomfortable. They were polite while trying hard to get your attention. Prices seems reasonable and you could definitely bargain, if that’s your thing, but it’s hard to feel too good about talking someone down to $3 usd for a figurine or bowl.

Apart from the supermarket, jewellers and food sellers there is an excellent bookshop and plenty of shops/stalls selling quality crafts.

Children can play at the waterfront playground area while parents can shop, dine and enjoy a free time . Dine in style, relax in comfort, go shopping or take it easy, all conveniently at one venue. Many Turkish restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy and travel agency.
For kids, an ice cream parlour, fresh juices and smoothies at the Juice Box, a candy shop and more is available.

I stayed at the Slipway hotel and appreciated that there were plenty of restaurants & shops nearby so I could do some last minute shopping. There are definitely the usual tourist shops where owners are pushy enough to make me not want to buy anything, but also several nice shops with unique products. I would recommend The Green Room (home decor, wall art etc) and Made by AfriCraft (recycled decorations & accessories). Both had great bits coupled with nice, non-pushy, service.

Best place to visit at Sunrise and Sunset especially good for scenic beauty.
Slipway local shopping center outside is wonderful to shop. Bargain is must. Very good local stuff. Restaurants have good open sea facing unique ambience. Gateway to Mbudya n other tree islands ferry. People also enjoy evenings with food drinks and music at restaurants. Paid park for children. This is not only shopping center only. Relaxing place for family friends on weekends maybe.

DYC is currently closed so I guess slipway shopping center might be, too becaus there wa a Covid case in hacht club keep your eyes open

There are regular boat trips to the 2 closest islands and diving trips to the local reefs, both from outside Slipway. No other destinations unless you want to just sail. Yacht club up the road - were sailing several types of small yachts 1 - 5+ man) over the weekend.

It's called Hotel Slipway... then the restaurant is called The Terrace and other eating joints such as the Thai Kani, Waterfront (seafood dining / pizza), Paparazzi (Sports Bar with DJ Music some evenings), Supermarket, coffee bars, etc.
