Joel was the best tour guide ever! Super trustworthy and fun. Incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond for my friends and I. Will definitely be using him again!!! ☺️

Great interpersonal service and always available for any request. Did Kilimanjaro Trek as couple and was an amazing experience. Set us up with truly great crew, who made us summit. Hiccups with delayed Baggage affecting trip was handled flawlessly. Gulzar went above and beyond to cater our needs every step. Highly recommended!

So glad we coordinated our trip with Waterbuck and specifically with Shafina! She was very easy to work with and took care of all the details from the moment we arrived. She was always accessible if we had questions and made sure we had a wonderful vacation! All of the drivers were very helpful and all lodging was fantastic. Highly recommend choosing Waterbuck Safaris to plan your trip

A trip of a lifetime! Gulzar was outstanding with helping to plan this unforgettable experience. We did safaris in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, a few days in beautiful Zanzibar and ended with a lovely tour of Dar es Salaam. The experience was even personalized with a surprise birthday celebration at one of the beautiful lodges and even a personalized dinner stop on our way to the Kilimanjaro airport once our Safaris were done. Gulzar went above and beyond for us. We couldn't have asked for more. I highly recommend Waterbuck Safaris!

Our trip to Kenya and Tanzania included hiking on Kilimanjaro, a safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, and finished on Zanzibar. It was a wonderful trip filled with what will be lifetime memories for my wife and I and our two young adult daughters.
We were extremely well cared for before and during our trip. Travel in Kenya and Tanzania is rewarding but at times challenging and Gulzar of Waterbuck Safaris was always available to us (including nights and weekends). We would have a bit lost without Gulzar and are most appreciative.

We had a great vacation, 5 days to the Serengeti Park/Lake Manyara/Ngorongoro Crater, 5 days in Zanzibar, and 5 days in DaresSalaam. Gulzar put a personalized package for us, she has been great all alone, really knows the meaning of customer service. Waterbuck is a well organized company, and the guide Abel for our safaris was great, knew the behavior and knowledge of the wildlife in the parks. The guide in Zanzibar for the 2 days, Mohamed, was very professional as he took us on two tours, Stone Town tour and the Spice market tour, and Fordhani Park. And our driver/guide, J4, was the best, as he spent 3 full days with us in DaresSalaam, taking us to all the places that we had lived & spent during my early life there. Overall, a great holiday with a great company.

Outstanding! Thank you! This is our 2nd tour with Waterbuck Safaris, our first one was in South Africa in 2019 and this is our 2nd one! This was a last-minute plan for us and we booked our trip on the 29th of January for the trip to commence on 14th of February, which is only two weeks after and very unusual. But Gulzar at Waterbuck made it happen and we were on our way from Los Angeles to Nairobi on February 12th.
Everything was very well arranged and organized from the time we landed from our international flight in Nairobi. We were met at the airport by the tour guide after immigration and customs. We were in Nairobi for 5 nights and did some of our own activities visiting friends and families. The transportation was arranged for our stay in Nairobi and everything was perfect and the driver was always punctual. The Giraffe center in Nairobi was outstanding and we really enjoyed it.
We were then transported to the Nairobi airport for our flight to Kilimanjaro airport. All went well and when we landed in JRO, we had our tour guide waiting for us to take us to our next adventure.
We had 5 night's stay in various game parks including Lake Manyara, Ndutu, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Our game park guide Godfrey was amazing and unbelievably knowledgeable about the game parks, animals, time of the day when we should be going on the game drives and the animal's location. We had an amazing time at the game parks and game drives. The accommodations were outstanding and very comfortable. The food was great! We would have breakfast before we left on the game drives, the lodges would prepare a box lunch for us after asking for our preference of items in the lunch box the night before and we would have dinner at the lodges after we returned from our afternoon game drives.
We were able to see all the BIG Five animals and of course a lot more including baboons, giraffes, cape buffaloes, Cheetah, lots of lions, and Rhinos from a distance, many species of birds, flamingoes and so many more.
After completing our 5day Safari tour, we took of from JRO to DAR as planned. We were going to stay 2 nights in DAR with friends and family and then depart for Zanzibar for 3 nights before returning to DAR for more days with family. Unfortunately, while on our way to DAR, we found out that one of our family member was taken seriously ill and we would have to change and delay our plans for Zanzibar. Gulzar got to work on rebooking our hotel for a later date and after lots of work and pulling strings, was able to get the resort in Zanzibar to allow us to change our dates without incurring any penalties even though the resorts have a strict no change and no refund policy. Thanks go Gulzar and Waterbuck, we were able to switch our dates. Unfortunately, we were not able to go to Zanzibar as the family member is still gravely ill but the other couple who were traveling with us proceeded to Zanzibar and are really enjoying their time.
If you are considering traveling to any part of Africa on a Safari or other travel, Waterbuck is one of the best in my opinion as we have traveled with them twice and both of our experiences have been outstanding! Thanks Gulzar and the Waterbuck team for an experience we will cherish for rest of our live. Thank you!

Our NCL Dawn cruise ship brought us to Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania. We danced with the local tribal dancers at the seaport. Our Tour guide was waiting for us with a big coach. We were very happy that we had a bigger coach although we were a small group of 8.
Three of our group members were born in Dar Es Salaam. They took us to their houses school and places they wanted to connect. It was, indeed, a nostalgic experience. It was exciting to see their reaction, when they saw places that they left 50+ years ago.
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Pramukh Swami Street, Dar-es-Salaam was one of the highlights of our visit. Shree Sankrashram, built in 1939 was still standing strong. Shree Sanatan Hindu Mandir was main attraction. Some of our group members did ritual in honour of their loved ones, who had passed away.
KARIBU Hospitali Ya Taifa Muhimbili, Tanzania Revenue Authority Headquarters, St. Joseph Cathedral Church of Archdiocese of Dar Es Salaam, The Aga Khan Hospital, Sea Cliff Hotel, Neelkanth Tower, were some of the places we visited.
Purnima Restaurant at Zanaki/Mali Street treated us with traditional Zanzibar Mix along with samosas, Bhajia, Kachori and Masala Tea! Finally, we went to Oyster Bay beach to enjoy fresh tender coconut water and dip our feet in the warm water.
Our driver and guide were very knowledgeable. They went out of their way to show us the places we wanted to see from our memory of the place, 50+ years ago and other local attractions.
We would 100% recommend Warerbuck Safaris. Ms. Gulzar, the owner took personal interest and made sure that we had a wonderful hospitality in Dar es Salaam. She made our visit to the city very heart warming, fulfilling and An Unforgettable Experience!

Upon arriving at Dar-es-Salaam port, we were warmly welcomed by Jay 4, our guide, and our driver. Our names were mentioned on the board. And we felt welcome. With such a friendly atmosphere, we had a fantastic start. The guide and the driver were extremely helpful and spoke very good English. And for that they deserve a special thank you.
We had such a great day, which obviously also added up to our experience. Jay 4 walked us through some nice areas where the scenery was beautiful and quite peaceful environment. The atmosphere and the special day in Dar-es-Sallam felt like home to all of us. Many thanks go to Gulzar at waterbucks, who arranged this special tour for us. Before reaching Dar-es-Sallam, she had contacted me several times, and was also tracking our cruise ship. While on the tour bus she contacted me if I had any special request.
I highly recommend Gulzar at Waterbucks for any tours in Africa. Once again, many thanks to Gulzar and Jay4 and the driver.

We went on a Safari from Dec 17/2023 to 31/12/2023.The trip was perfect with no problems whatsoever. The owner Shafina Bandali. Took care of everything including hotels, airfare, private suv with driver. I can only say the trip was wonderful with no problems whatsoever. If ever anyone wants to take a trip to Tanzania please book with waterbuck. You want be disappointed.

Not true at all. we have 2kids 11 and 15 years old. maybe for buggys or small children ? we did the boat walk and drive safari with nazareth (name of driver ) and they loved it. enjoy
