Another awesome spring-like day here in Eastern Iowa. Over the weekend it was in the low 80s and sunny. Today was twenty degrees cooler and spots of rain but that was just fine by me. I have often driven by this place over the years but it wasn't until today that I actually got out into it to enjoy it. In my opinion, this is a hunter's paradise! It covers roughly 1700 acres of mainly marsh-like "land"; there is a small lake there; timber and actual land as well(you have to find it yourself). You can hunt and fish here. Small game as well as turkey; deer and a boat ramp is provided as the nearby Cedar River snakes its sway through this place. Bring your hip waders/waterproof hiking boots, a fishing pole and maybe a lunch and just sit back and enjoy this place, It must be seen to be appreciated.
