I first came across the Yego Artworks at Hotel Milles Collines where some were on display so I decided to visit the Studio. It is always nice to see artworks by artists from other cultures so in my opinion, it is worthwhile to visit.

Do not miss Yego Arts Studio while in Kigali. The art is amazing and so are the artists. There are three other art galleries in the city and each one is marvelous. I felt i was meeting Rwanda's young intelligentsia while in each gallery. Yego and the other galleries should be at the top of the go to places in Kigali. The art I bought in 2015 is so beautiful.

I had a wonderful experience at Yego Arts and purchased a beautiful painting that I can't wait to get home and hang on my wall! The manager Louis was very friendly and gracious. Of all the galleries I visited in Kigali, the art here was my favorite - I found it to be diverse in perspective and style, and that each artist clearly possessed a unique voice. Yego Arts used to be located in the MTN center but can now be found in the Kimihuru neighborhood. It's hidden away, but our taxi driver was able to find it as he was willing to call them and get directions.

When I went to visit this place, I had no idea about what was really inside, as for the first impression, i did not like the location, it was kinder hidden, reaching inside I was more than overwhelmed, from outside to inside, the creativity is just impressing.

It's an interesting little compound and worth a look around. The wall art is extremely diverse and a lot of it is pretty cool. It will appeal to a variety of tastes. However, looking in the store reveals prices above what you'll generally pay locally.

We visited several art galleries in Kigali and this was by far the best. Several local artists exhibit there. We ended up buying several paintings, but could have bought more ( some of the collages were stunning). Our thanks to Tony - the owner and main artist- for sharing his passion with us.

Was very impressed by this art studio with paintings and handcrafts. You can see painters doing their art. Worth to take a look.

First off I'd like to admit that I am not a painter, never have been and probably never will be. Upon my visit to Yego arts I was given the opportunity to paint, at first I was skeptical about what I am capable of but soon after I was given a brush and canvas, I painted along with some of my friends and we were shown different tricks and techniques by Olivier and Tony and we did look like masters. They encouraged us and kept telling me: "Don't be afraid of colour", which I started to understand after after a while. The 3 hours I spent with some friends painting was definitely a highlight of my trip to Kigali. I would recommend doing this, it's alot more fun than I thought it to be. Thanks Tony and Olivier!
