This trip was amazing and I felt looked after, provided for and comforted by the Icicles team! When I got gastro the first day of our trek, they supported me by assisting me with my medication, ensuring that my father and I (who were travelling together) shared a room by booking an extra one and assisting us to the hospital in Namche.
Special thanks to our tour guide Sandip for the amazing advice, lovely photos, down to earth energy and great conversations and ways to keep us entertained and in good spirits. The special moments of this trip I will remember for my whole life and am glad to have such beautiful memories.
If you’re thinking of doing a trek to base camp or in the Himalayas, Icicles is the tour for you!

An absolutely fantastic adventure. Thank you Icicles, this was a professionally run, authentic, people-oriented and seamless trip.
Our guide, Sandip Bhatta was exceptional with a rare combination of leadership, humility, patience, knowledge, humour and trust. I have nothing but the highest opinion of him and his ability to lead with confidence (particularly when both my daughter and myself started out with gastro we picked up in Kathmandu).
Our porters were also great and often went above and beyond to help achieve our goals. And always with a smile.
Well done Icicles. This was a truly memorable experience and your contribution to those memories is highly valued.

Genuinely once in a lifetime experience. Dreamed of this since I was a little kid. My first solo trip at 19 and it's totally unforgettable. My guide Sandip blew me away daily with how he led and cared for the group. His patience and wisdom as well as knowledge and customer service was rivaled by none. Only known him 13 days but he's had a huge influence on my life as this will inspire many more adventures. My porter boys were unreal as well. I have no words to express how much this has meant to me as an experience. EBC is one of the greatest things I will ever do and I can't imagine a better team or guide to do it with. I will finish with my last Instagram post caption. As the sun sets on the Himalayas and also on my time in Nepal, one of the great adventures of my life, I can't help but be a little melancholy, but the stars rise on a new adventure ✨️

I did the 14 day EBC trek with food. As a solo traveller I was nervous about doing this trek, but as soon as you arrive, the Icicles team have everything in hand, they were fantastic from start to finish. Our guide Pooja was exceptional - she was friendly and professional, and prioritised our safety, wellbeing and enjoyment at all times. When members of our team were unwell she showed true compassion, and her expertise and encouragement ensured we all made it to Base Camp together. This was a challenging but truly unforgettable experience, and I can’t thank Pooja and Indira, and the Icicles team enough. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody wanting to do this trip. I was very lucky to be part of such a great team, and after joining as a solo traveller, I left with friends and memories for life.

Icicles made me dream trip exceed my expectations, they were always there to answer questions prior to the trek.
My guide Bishnu and porter Gopal were both fun and knowledgeable.

So pleased that I did my trek solo and joined up with a group organised by Icicles. I booked through adventure people in the UK, who use Icicles. Ram was our guide and Manoj was assistant guide. Ram was very experienced, spoke great English and provided great advice throughout the trek and was very attentive when anyone was having health concerns. Manoj was doing EBC for the first time and was great at either setting the pace at the front or ensuring no one dropped off the back. The accomodation we had at each place seemed to be better than the average options in each place and Kathmandu but that said the accommodation is quite basic at higher altitudes (Loboche and Gorakshep). Itinerary seemed very logical and gave a good balance for acclimatising to higher altitude, which meant all eight of us made it to EBC. Overall great experience and very good value for money from what we could make out as a group. I would highly recommend Icicles.

Can’t recommend Icicles enough from start to finish very organised and extremely transparent with what to expect from each day. Ram and Manoj our guides were outstanding and very helpful, the group could not of asked for better!

I went on the Everest Base Camp & Gokyo Lakes trip October 2024 - just a few weeks after massive mudslides wreaked havoc with transport in and out of Lukla. This was during high traffic festival travel times for Nepalis, too. I heard and read about lots of people spending days stuck waiting, or enduring a 10-hour overnight drive as an alternative. Indira's masterful logistics management (plus luck with weather) got us smoothly to Lukla & back on schedule. In fact, I ended up not needing the extra buffer days I added to my schedule "just in case" to make my flight home. Indira & Parashu took great care of me as a solo female traveler (joining the small group tour). They work, literally, round the clock during the season to take care of their guests. And Indira does this as one of the very few female company owners in this male dominated industry. Our Nepali guide, Ram, was excellent (and also worked round the clock!). While our group didn't need it, it was comforting to know that in the past he has carried a sick client for miles (at night!) to reach an evacuation helicopter. My only wish would have been for him to speak English more fluently so we could learn more about the places & people we visited—but he's working on it!

This trip from start to finish was fantastic and way exceeded expectations, icicles really do look after you from the moment you land in Kathmandu.
The Everest expedition was stunning and the guides Ram and Manoj were phenomenal. They both looked after the group so well, had lots of knowledge of the trek and their English was really good. There were times when we the group struggled and they were both really encouraging and supportive. I was a slower walker in the group and the guides never rushed me.
Icicles is a fantastic company to go with and couldn’t recommend more!
