What a brilliant business in every way. Although there was a wide range to choose from, the exact style and pattern was not available, so we were shown all the cloth in stock and a bag was made to our specifications in three hours!

This place has the local woman making excellent stuff like bags and pouches and a lot of other stuff and quite inspiring for women.

If you need to buy anything, go here and help a good cause. I found that there were quite a few places in Pokhara that were helping women. They were powered by the Women Skills Development Organization. If you want souvenirs buy them from one of these shops. Keep up the good work.

I had the pleasure of meeting Anne and the ladies of Kriayt today.
The handicrafts are beautiful, and the social causes Kriayt works to empower are inspiring to say the least. Unfortunately their store had to relocate due to some urgent matters that cropped up, but if you are in Pokhara in the future, please don’t miss visiting the ladies, purchase some handicrafts, and help to empower women here in Nepal. The town is really quiet during my stay here... which is a shame really.

Spent a few days here chatting with the ladies while painting a canvas bag (that had a print on it) with oil colors.
It was a great way to spend an hour or two a day during my stay in Pokhara, and an interactive way to contribute to the wonderful work of this place - 400 rupi and the bag is yours to keep, plus they keep it overnight so you can continue your creation in the following days!

We were on our way to Jiva when we chanced upon Kriayt. We went in as we were also planning to get souvenirs for our family and friends.
The pouches, bags and headband were perfect as they were handmade by the Nepalis ladies, simple and useful and it was for a good cause.
We bought 8 pouches and 2 headbands at first. On our last day, we realised we really liked their pouches and bags, my partner cycled back just to get a few more pouches and bags. :)
