We have been visiting Cheap Charlie’s for years at its old location in Soi 11 and now just a short walk from On Nut BTS.
There is nothing fancy but a good place to have a drink or 3.
Small beer 80baht and a large 120baht, glass of wine 120baht.
It seems to have recently gone through an upgrade since the last time we visited as it now has padded stools.

A visit to Cheap Charlie’s is always a must and while I miss the old location the new incarnation still retains the charm (and large measures!) A few minutes walk from On Nut BTS it attracts people from all over the world and from every walk of life.
I stuck to bottled beer while my partner had Whisky & Coke & also G&T and as a Scotsman I can say they were LARGE measures.
You can bring in food from any of the nearby eateries, the prices are still reasonable and the service from the owner and his son still friendly. Oh and the train still circles the bar!
Every visitor to Bangkok needs to go to CC’s at least once, it’s an institution after all!

Great little bar 5 minute stroll from On Nut BTS.....large Leo 120 but spirits with mixer good value.....good choice of beer and whisky and they let you eat food bought from somewhere else.......good times

They don't have the advertised draft beer. You have to go up to order. No smiles or recognition from the wait staff. I was there with my wife and I would recommend any of the other places surrounding Cheap Charlie's

Picked here for our gathering place. Good location, near BTS Onnut, an array of drinks, cheap and reasonable price. Good service too!

Continues to be a great bar with great prices.
I was a long-time fan of the original location in Soi 11, this was my first visit to the new location.
The bar has retained much of the vibe of the original, Charlie is still there checking on the place, the beer is cold and incredibly well priced.
Right opposite is easyburger, and you can eat your burger at the Charlie's Bar tables, a match made in heaven.

Small but gold, lots of options for around 100 baht. Enjoyed the vibe in this little area, would go back again. Partner had a wine, seemed to be decent quality given how difficult keeping wine is in this harsh climate. Loved the little train weaving in and out of the rather impressive bar artefacts.

Great place to hang out with super cheap drinks. Has music and you can also sit. Meet a lot of people from all over world. Iconic place to see when in Bangkok, a must.

We are travelling to Bangkok tomorrow and would like to visit Charlie’s new place ..can someone please give me the exact whereabouts of the bar .. We will arrive at the On Nut BTS station ... thanks

HI. Can someone let me know when exactly the bar will be closed as definitely want to be there one more time. So sad that the whole area is about to change. Have met some amazing people over my visits and now so called progress is taking away the meeting place of so many people. Thanks in advance.
