This review is for the Train Maket+Floating Maket+Tiger World +Karen long neck and Elephant ride Full day tour booked through bangkok best travel.
After getting picked up from our hotel, our driver took us to the Talad Rom-Hop or Train Market Mea Klong Rail way, but we didn’t get dropped off there; he was just driving through and told us this is where the market is.
We then headed to the Damnoen Saduak floating market. This was a cool experience. We might have purchased from the vendors if they weren’t asking for ridiculously marked up prices. (890 baht for a tiny snow globe - we wouldn’t even buy it at that price that back in the states) Everything here is marked up at least double - at least compared to the Srinagarindra and Chatuchak train markets. Some vendors are very pushy - they pull your boat to their shop and ask you to help support them buy buying their items. They truly would make more money if they weren’t trying to rip off the tourists because they’d actually sell items at a reasonable price. The boat guide is only allotted to you for an hour which is more than enough time to get an experience here. He was a really good driver and really friendly. The coconut ice cream (served in an actual coconut) was good and all the food there were reasonably priced, but we didn’t get to try any since the time restriction.
After this, we went to the Damnoen Saduak Tiger World I believe. This was also a good experience. There were cute gibbons (very small apes?) climbing about in their play area when you enter. We got to take pictures with 4 tigers (if they are up for it). The alpha male was a little cranky so we didn’t get any photos with him. The workers were very helpful with handling the tigers/telling you where to stand/where to not touch. One of them takes the pictures for you. She took a lot of portraits and videos that came out great (make sure your battery is full and you have enough memory!)
We went to lunch afterwards. Our driver asked us what we wanted to eat - we told him thai food so he took us somewhere that he said was a local thai restaurant where the chef worked at a Michelin star restaurant before. When we arrived there was 1 other table and they were visiting from UK. Food was ok and on the pricier side (400 baht per dish).
Straight to the elephant ride - there was a young elephant at the entrance and a mom and baby elephant near the stairs (the mom had chains on her legs) - I wanted to take photos, but once we arrived, it felt like we were being herded like cattle onto the elephants. Bought a bucket of bananas for 100 baht and on we went onto a young elephant. The worker that was “driving” the elephant was holding a pick-axe. Less than 30 seconds on the elephant, I wanted off. Everything about it was inhumane. The metal chairs we were sitting on could not have been comfortable for them. The man made route for the elephants to take could not have been fun for them. Really what bothered me the most was the worker with the pick-axe. It wasn’t just him that had it, all the elephant “drivers” had it. During our elephant ride, our elephant “driver” stopped to “take a break.” I thought he was about to light up a cigarette or something (which honestly would not have surprised me at this point) because he was opening a big rectangular tin. He was trying to sell us ivory bracelets and necklaces to HELP HIM FEED THE ELEPHANTS. After the elephant ride, I went back to try to take pictures and still felt like I was being rushed out of the area. The young elephant at the entrance was being monitored by a worker who tried to charge 100 baht for photos so I left. These people also manage the Long Neck Karen village so they drove us there in a golf cart. Do they actually have long necks? I’m not sure. Could just be a façade. After being told to take a photo with two long neck ladies, one lady said to buy something from her shop to support her. We left immediately and didn’t walk throughout the “village” since it would just be more of the same.
Our driver took us to the train market after. He said he couldn’t park “here” so when we’re done, to call him and he’ll pick us up at the same spot. A few minutes walking around in a deserted chinatown shop vibe in the hot sun, I was ready to go home. When we called the driver, he said he was at the temple and would be 15-20 minutes. We wandered around in some shops. I think less than 5 had air conditioning. Then I had to use the bathroom, but there were none to be found. After 10 minutes, we found one tucked inside somewhere. When we returned to the pick up spot, the driver was parked in a parking stall and reversed out.
The ride back to the hotel was long. We left the market a little before 2pm and got back to our hotel at 4:30pm. The ac was on low the entire ride so we were just sitting there in the hot car during the traffic which was uncomfortable.

This was a great tour to Khao Kho. Really good communication with the company prior to the tour and great follow up. Our guide Eddy was very professional and timely. Showed us all the main sites, but flexibility to add or omit items too. Would recommend.

Our guide Ohm was amazing! Ohm took the time to explain a lot of really interesting things about the area and about Thailand to us. On our car ride to the railway market (which went by very quickly) we learned a lot as Ohm pointed to different things to explain what they were and the story behind them. Our first stop, the railway market, was a must-do experience. The next stop at the floating market was also very cool (a unique experience that I had never done before). Finally we spent some time taking pictures with tigers and then wrapped up the day by grabbing lunch at a nice restaurant. The experiences were all great but the best part was having Ohm as the guide and being able to ask him questions about everything. My girlfriend and I truly learned a lot. We would highly recommend!

A smooth ride up to the unspoiled nature of Thailand -The Land of Smile. Eddy, our driver went out of his way to show us more places of interest not listed in our itinerary in Khao Kor. He seemed familiar of the places and gave us a short history or descriptions of the places we visited.
Eddy never rushed us who were busy taking photos and selfies.. instead he was willing to help. We really needed him to translate our needs and our shoppings along the way uo and down the nountain in Phetchabun. He made our sight seeing and shopping so fun. He was always punctual in fetching us.
Eddy is a gem. I would recommend the company to friends who need such service .
