Another temple located in the old city of Chiang Mai. Easy to find as you walk the streets and this particular temple has some great buildings and of course color adorns the inside sanctuary of the temple.

Ondanks verbeteringen die ik meermaals heb gemeld, verbetert Tripadvisor de foute kaartpositie (een fout van circa1km over de weg) niet op hun website. Dat is heel jammer, want de tempel is zeker wel een bezoekje waard. Er zijn meerdere interessante wetenswaardigheden die naast het hoofdgebouw (Wihan) worden toegelicht. Als je geluk hebt is ook het Ubosot-gebouw geopend. Het tempelcomplex beschikt ook over een bewaarplaats voor geschriften (Ho Trai), wat lang niet elke tempel heeft.

I've been exploring some of Chiang Mai's temples that don't charge for entry, and I'm finding that most of them are well worth a visit.
Wat Pan Ping had a lovely main hall with an interesting addition. It has covered the entrance and windows with chains. This may well reduce the heat inside, and gives an interesting look.
There are a number of fine statues in the grounds. Plenty of parking area, and usually not busy.
Well worth a visit if you're passing.

Nice quiet temple close to the 3 Kings monument. To the right of the entrance are little sayings in Thai and English (unfortunately I lost the pics)

Don’t just stop at the entrance walk through as you will be surprised by the little treasure.
Toward the back of the complex you will find a small temple where the monks are ordained I felt this building was worth the find.
In the ground roaming freely are many chickens, roasters and the cats played in and around the statues of Buddha’s.
I found a chair and just sat back and watch the set up of marquee for the weekend celebration monks instructing where tables and chair should go.
This temple is easy to find and is surrounded by many tourists attractions such as the 3 Kings monument, Lanna folk museum and so much more.

Il est évident qu'il faudrait beaucoup de temps pour visiter tous les temples de Chiang Mai, mais celui ci mérite le détour, il fait partie de ces temples bien entretenus. Seul bémol, le parking à l'entrée qui gâche la photo d'ensemble

A être dans le quartier, il peut être envisagé de s'y arrêter ainsi que chez son voisin le temple Wat Umong Mahathera Chan afin de profiter d'une visite au calme, loin de l'attraction touristique de certains autres temples de la ville.
Un petit arrêt peut valoir le détour ; en une heure de temps, vous pourrez admirer deux temples voisins, au charme simple et distinct.

เห็นชื่อป้ายวัดเหนือกำแพงเด่นชัดเลยค่ะ เดินเข้าไปชมข้างใน พื้นที่ไม่ได้กว้างมาก พระอุโบสถอยู่ด้านในสุด ถัดมาเป็นพระวิหาร และพระเจดีย์ มีแท่นเขียนประวัติ และสถานที่สำคัญภายในวัดค่ะ มีเจดีย์เป็นทรงแบบล้านนาฝีมือช่างหลวง และพระเพชรสิงห์หนึ่ง พระพุทธรูปหล่อด้วยโลหะสัมฤทธิ์ทั้งสององค์ค่ะ อยู่ภายในพระวิหาร เป็นพระเพชรสิงห์หนึ่งที่มีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดเพียงองค์เดียวของภาคเหนือค่ะ

Have walked past, but first time to enter and look around. This is not a crowded temple and is very peaceful and serene. This is nice and a good way to avoid the crowded temple near by.
