Smiley Thai Travel organized our family trip, which includes 7 persons in a privet tour in south Thailand, north Thailand and Bangkok.
The complete organized tour was amazing (one in a life). We were exposed to many unbelievable places / attractions that undoubtedly is almost impossible to do in any alternative way.
Smiley Thai Travel, took care of all our needs. The tour guides and drivers were very professional and courteous. It is important to mention that Smiley Thai Travel provided to us completely all the requirements that were written in the itinerary. In addition, a large amount of transportation from and to several airports were always on time including during the tour. The communication via email was exellent and always response quickly and to the point.
To conclude, Smiley Thai Travel is a reliable company which stands behind its commitments. The team were very professional and courteous. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to use Smiley Thai Travel services for organize a tour in Thailand.

We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the fabulous services provided by both our guide and driver with our tours this week! We could not have been more pleased with the beautiful service provided to us !
Porradee Ten was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun loving ! With a kind and generous spirit, she helped us understand so much about Thailand and its people! I highly recommend her services ! Our driver, Mr. Long, was professional, courteous and we felt so safe and secure with his driving abilities!
Thank you for your prompt service as well ! You all have made our trip to Thailand such a wonderful experience thus far !

After spending two weeks in Myanmar, we wanted to spend a short time in Chiang Mai before returning to the UK. Two year's ago we used SmileyThai Travel in Bangkok and were very impressed, so I contacted them to arrange our visit to Chiang Mai. They were, once again, top rate.
SmileyThai arranged everything for us; airport transfers, hotel accommodation, all activities, transport and, best of all, our lovely guide, Lamduan, and driver, Kai. We were only with them for four days, yet they seem like friends for life!
We stayed at the Namton Hotel, right in the centre of town. It is a lovely place, decorated in the traditional Thai style and every member of their staff was delightful.
We spent a whole day in Doi Inthanon National Park and completed a lovely atmospheric 2.5-hour walk through hill tribe villages, jungle, rice fields and waterfalls. And it was all downhill!
We also went white-water rafting which was so much fun and this took us straight into Mr Bobby Bum;s elephant camp. The elephants seemed happy and well looked after and we really enjoyed bathing them in the river, feeding them by hand and riding on their shoulders without heavy iron cradles.
We had a city tour by tuk-tuk, travelled up to the magnificent Doi Suthep temple on the mountain (so glittery!) and ate delicious food in a night market just off the Night Bazaar.

I have just completed a week-long tour of Chiang Mai and northern Thailand with a school group of 56 people. This would have been a huge logistical undertaking and I can't thank SmileyThai Travel enough for their professionalism and commitment.
Our group was split between seven minibuses, each with a teacher and it's own tour guide and driver. Our group size was too large to complete many of the activities, so for much of the trip we functioned as two travel groups. Everything worked out very well.
Many of our activities are available as private day tours on their web site; all were spot-on. We completed the following in an action packed week - cookery school, white-water rafting, hill tribe visits and homestays, elephant trekking and bathing, ox-carting, bamboo rafting, zip-lining, three treks (1,3 & 7 hours), night bazaar, Thai massage, temple on the mountain, Chiang Mai city tour, Doi Inthanon (Thailand's highest peak), khantoke dinner and celebratory party! Wow! What a week!
But it wasn't the activities, rather the people that really made our stay. We met so many lovely people who looked after us splendidly. Thank you so much to SmileyThai Travel and all the team; Pipe, Ten, Lamduan, Pong, Wan, Noi and Pop. Love you guys!

This company was recommended to me in the UK and it worked out as a great part of our holiday. The communication and organisation leading up to the tour was excellent and the value for money is just as good. Me and a friend did the Mahout training day from Chiang Mai which is a day at an elephant sanctuary. Our guide Anne was lovely and spoke very good English; we were picked up in a private car, and on the way we had a surprise stop at an Orchid and Butterfly farm which was really lovely (perfect gift stop for the mother).
The day at the elephant sanctuary was amazing! The elephants are rescued and its clear they are looked after really well here, you are eased into the day really well with a good introduction by your group guide. You start by meeting and feeding the elephants, then in your group you meet a couple of elephants and take turns for an individual ride and learn some commands. We also got to meet a new calf with its mother, the first born at the park, very cute! In the afternoon you go for a longer trek on the elephants (this is bare back riding not using the heavy seats), such a great experience. Then to top it all off you finish by going into a large pool and giving your elephants a bath and a good scrub!
The whole pace of the day was perfect, lunch was very very tasty, the guides are really friendly and take lots of photos on your camera for you, and you do get a shower at the end as well.
Would very much recommend Smiley Thai Travel for their tour contents, communication/organisation and friendliness.

We discovered this company in Bangkok and the Chiang Mai office put together a very reasonable deal for us that combined three of their Day Tours. Our guide for each of these days was Lamduan and she was just wonderful; hilarious, attentive and informative. Our driver, Noi, was a lovely man who took great care of his vehicle, always held the door open for us and greeted us with a broad smile and a chilled bottle of water.
Doi Inthanon National Park was the absolute highlight of our holiday and I’ve posted a separate entry for that.
The white-water rafting was so much fun and it really was breath-taking. You will be able to find cheaper deals with some operators in town, but the SmileyThai package included a private encounter with elephants at the end (and we got to spend more time with Lamduan and Noi!)
And the Foodies Tour was another wonderful day with so much to eat, smell, taste and cook - plus a guided tour of three of the city’s famous temples was also included.
I can’t recommend these guys highly enough!
