The hotel was wonderful. In particular the staff was extremely helpful and solicitous. We wish to single out "Elif" as a hostess who made us feel welcome repeatedly!
The hotel room was really nice and it was quiet as a mouse even though there were lots of people there.

Nothing else to say except "Perfect".
Our room was upgraded to Superior which is large, with shower/bath coffee/tea fecility too. All staff at the VIP launge are superb!! Big star for all of them.

Went for a couples treatment thinking the hotel spa would be a good standard so worth the extra fee for the experience.
The Deep Tissue massage was great husband was very happy with his treatment.
Unfortunately the treatment advertised as Relaxing Hot Herbal Compress was a cold oil massage with 10 minutes of heat pack’s applied to my upper back at the start of the treatment, certainly didn’t leave my circulation improved. I’d highly advise that this treatment is not worth considering.

Let's be real here- massages in Chiang Mai are cheap. You can pay $4 at the night market for a full body massage- but how relaxing can that really be when tons of people staring at you (unless you like that)? Also there are lots of nice place that are private and we visited a few- I highly recommend Iris not far from Chi. But Chi is next level- I didn't plan on it but went twice, once for a full body massage for myself and again with my husband for a polish, massage and facial for $150 each. Now some people would say- that crazy. But taking into consideration that I am from NYC and one of these services alone can be $150- we felt like royalty. And that is exactly how you are treated. From the moment you want in, you have their full attention. Yo are shown a menu of services to choose from, tea and time. The lobby is lovely very zen with a water feature. You have your own private hut with shower and changing room. THE MASSAGE TABELS ARE HEATED!!! As someone who is always cold- this was the best thing!! I was so happy (also why I love Chiang Mai- the heat makes me happy). Once done you can relax in an open area with a stream running through. The whole experience is 5-star. It's not cheap- but it's 100% worth it.

Sangria-La is efficient and well located for the night Bazaar and the city square. We walked to the gate for the Songkran Festival (water fight) and had a great time. The hotel features western pricing, a decent room. The rooms seemed a little dated but large. Bathrooms are great. Breakfast set up is excellent food but you pay the price. We just did two tours, temple and cooking class, the rest of the time we were soaking in the fun of SongKran. Quick dry clothes are a must. Water guns are cheap 100-500 Baht. Everyone is having fun. Good meals are available everywhere.
Hotel hosted a pool party, not great, better to be out and about. Fair price and good location. Going back I might stay again, but would look around as well.
