A family group of us are planning a visit to Chiang Mai and want to go here. I was there a few years ago and recall it was on two levels. One of our party is in a wheelchair: is there a lift visitors can use to access the second level?
Been there twice, I can’t remember seeing a lift, just static and escalators, probably best to send them an email..
Why do you think this is a 'scam?' Westerners can easily afford higher prices than the locals can, so I welcome the ability to subsidize the ability of the locals to experience these things. And, if you want to look for 'western standards' then stay in he west. This is THAILAND and the whole purpose for coming to THAILAND is to experience THAILAND. One of the worst things to happen to THAILAND is the westernization of it. I miss the rustic true cultural experience that it used to be. Now it is just an extension of chain stores and the insatiable pursuit of consumerism. So what is it you expect to find in THAILAND?
This isn't a question. But I can tell you, dear visitor, the more you tip the more they smile. They're not smiling at you they're smiling at the tip
Do you really need someone to go with so they can take the photos of you? I’m in Chiang Mai on my own.
I don't remember being able to do selfie mode in the phone app. The app is the only way to make things appear to move. A lot of the pictures are cool on their own, without needing to be in them, but some are also meant for more than once person. It's still worth a trip to go check out, imo.
