很有原始味道的寺庙，雕刻精致，别于其他寺院。坐在瀑布处，可远眺市中心，亦有步行小径到山下。 游客不多，但绝对是值得一看的寺院。

Wat Palad 隐藏在清迈的热带雨林里，把它放在行程里可以一举两得，既可以朝拜寺庙，又可以畅游热带雨林。这个庙比较小众，通常只有当地人去。所以，这里没有人头攒动的人群，也没有贩卖纪念品的商人。在这里，只有简朴的古庙、古迹佛塔和美丽特别的佛像与雨林相伴。庙的旁边还有个小瀑布。在寺庙朝拜后，可以坐在瀑布旁瞭望清迈古镇，听听潺潺流水声，零距离触摸大自然，光是想想都觉得很美好。平时在城市中过惯了繁忙的生活，有机会就来Wat Palad享受雨林中的平静吧。

我将时间定在与日落时间一致，我很幸运能在日落中享受到这些服务。我参与到僧侣和一些游客的服务中。景色非常美丽，从寺庙角度来观看日落真是令人叹为观止。

我们从清迈动物园后面徒步僧侣小径。 步行不太难，根据步伐，大概30-45分钟。 几乎全是上坡，但大多数人都可以毫无问题地走完。 寺庙非常安静，坐落在森林和流水之中，可以看到清迈的全景。 比起Doi Suthep寺，我们更喜欢这座，因为它不那么繁忙，且它的庭院更漂亮。

我们参加了兰纳王国旅游公司的一日游，其中一站是这个寺，还游览了多伊萨特普神庙和大象保护中心。我们的导游Ken带我们游览了丛林中的这座寺庙。这座寺名字的意思是倾斜岩石下的寺庙。僧侣们去山上的双龙寺朝拜的时候，通常会在这里歇脚。这里风景优美，非常适合僧侣们冥想、休息。在周围漫步，我感觉自己走进了印第安纳琼斯的电影场景里。

通过僧侣小道可以到达这座漂亮的寺庙（小道起点在清迈动物园后面，大概走45分钟到一个小时），和素贴寺比起来更加安静，从Pha Lat寺走到素贴寺大概一个半小时，你可以一天之内去两个地方，记得带好充足的水和食物，以便路上吃。总之很棒！

E’ possibile andare a piedi da Chiang Mai vecchia fino al Wat pha lat e poi ancora al Doi Suthep? O meglio farsi portare per questione di tempo?

Is the hike up to the temple via the Monk's Trail worth it, or better off to be dropped off at the temple directly? I've seen mixed reviews. Some have said the hiking route is not very scenic. May be better off hiking somewhere else.

This is a very subjective issue, but I very much enjoyed my 45-minute hike to the temple and I felt like it made my experience there more meaningful and enjoyable. Afterward, I caught a ride back to town.

You can use a shared Taxi for 120 Bhat or 500 Baht for a privat Taxi. There is a Parking available.

Yes, there's another trail right up the road from Wat Pha La. It's steeper and a bit more complicated than the Monk's trail. Take lots of water. There's a few blog posts if you Google Monk's trail.

Noi abbiamo contrattato per un taxi con cui fare un giro a disposizione per tutta la giornata, che ci ha portato anche al cimitero reale e al tempio della montagna con fermata per pausa pranzo ad un ristorante.
Contrattando si arrivano a prezzi decenti mi sembra sui 60 euro totali per 3 persone per tutto il giorno.
In tuk non è comodissimo perché e abbastanza fuori e la strada in salita e il prezzo magari non è poi così basso.

wij zijn volgend jaar januari weer voor een paar dagen in Chiang Mai en willen graag wat minder toeristische dingen doen zoals dit tempelcomplex.
Hoe is de weg naar de tempel, ik heb heuparthrose en kan niet meer hele steile wegen lopen.

Hallo Dagmar,
Wij hebben gekozen om de wandeling door de jungle te doen naar deze tempel. De mensen van onze hostel hebben een taxi geregeld tot aan de voet van deze wandeling.
Deze is best stevig bergop en op smalle weggetjes. Als ik het goed heb kan je ook gewoon met een taxi via de gewone weg tot aan de ingang komen.
