Teníamos el crucero Santa María contratado y nos cambiaron a Amanda Cruise al llegar al puerto sin darnos ninguna explicación del cambio.
Al entrar en la habitación nos la encontramos sucia y no se ajustaba a la categoría contratada.
Lo peor ha sido a la hora de dormir, en nuestra habitación habían RATAS en el techo y al comentarlo al personal del barco, no nos dan ninguna solución y ni siquiera intentan buscarla. Tuvimos que pasar la noche en esa habitación y obviamente no pudimos descansar además de las condiciones de higiene que ello implica.
Ha sido una experiencia horrible.
Aconsejamos ir a Halong Bay en excursión de un día.

Lovely staff , nice weather, good food!!!
We spent 2 days 1 night on the Santamaria Cruise with my family . So we have a wonderfull time in Ha Long Bay.
Highly recomended for Santamaria cruise!!!

We did a cruise last summer and mainly enjoyed it for a few reasons :
The tour itself was great, the tour guide (I think it was Thuy) was excellent, the kayak activity was really enjoyable, the cave too, so was the stop at the nice beach to enjoy swimming.
The boat is a bit old and could be renovated, but our cabin was still nice. It's a small boat so it's nice not to have too many guests at the same time.
There was a lot of food (even too much), and it was good.
But what was pretty bad was the service and staff's attitude. We really felt like they were trying to milk us as much as possible and doing everything they could to get more money out of us, the feeling was really not pleasant.
They tried to charge us for drinks that were actually included in what we paid for (the only few drinks that were supposed to be included ^^) or were reluctant to give us what was supposed to be included at all. I had to stand up and show them clearly the email I had mentioning the stuff. Even the boss was trying to argue that it was not included, but then gave up when he saw that I was sure of what I was saying (and I felt like he only did because he wanted us to give them a good review). At the beginning of the cruise they were all smiling and bubbly, and at the end of the stay as they apparently thought we didn't spend enough "extra" money (outside of the initial cruise price) they kind of showed us they were pissed off. One of them even didn't reply when we said goodbye. The same person who insisted on my friends playing a cards game with him the previous night, until they realized it was only to urge them to spend more money on alcohol, because buying alcohol was compulsory to play the game. ^^ when they said they were not interested, he -clearly- showed his disappointment. Please, stop forcing on people to spend more and more, it just gives us a bad impression and make us feel we are treated like walking purses.

Extremely poor experience. The tour operator does not inform what one is getting for the money he/she pays. Cruise crew too not supportive at all. Highly not recommended!

DO not book this cruise.
Liars all the way from the hotel to the boat staff. The rooms didnt have water, AC didnt work. Overpriced. Nails coming out of the wood work in the rooms. Charged for tea. Cruise didnt have lights or music as mentioned. The only cruise that was dark.

This maybe a One Star Cruise at most so please don't go by the ratings online.
The rooms are tiny the Cruise rooms are crying for a renovation. Locks Lockers don't work, Food was a disappointment, the water in the bathroom or the Air Conditioning can stop anytime, the staff was clueless and uninterested, its just another routine day at work attitude, and the intension is more to just get done with the routine... the pictures online are an eyewash... the boat is old shabby and badly maintained... you wouldn't eat here if u entered the kitchen... the so cald activities onboard didn't exist, We cudnt wait to get back to the shore...
The excursions and views of Halong bay were probably the only 2 good thing about the trip and they can easily be covered in a day trip aswell.
Do not book with them or any other so cald 4star Cruise... Its got to be a 5 star cruise or a day trip...

Una gran experiencia. Tuvimos kayak, playa, clase de cocina y visita a cueva. La tripulación fue muy simpática y nos sentimos muy cómodos. No me gustan los barcos y me encontré bien en todo momento. La bebida se paga aparte, pero la comida está incluida. Mucha calidad en la comida. No tiene muchas habitaciones y se agradece vivir la experiencia con un grupo reducido de personas.

Although we had to wait a few hours to get onto the cruise due to an unexpected unusual check of the boat we enjoyed our time.
We were contacted by Kim over email and WhatsApp from the minute we booked she was very helpful.
Our tour guide during the cruise was Mr Ben he was great as well as the staff on board they were all up for a laugh and friendly.
The cruise ship itself was clean and comfortable.
The food was incredible, we had about 8 courses of food for lunch and dinner. I’m vegetarian and I had to inform them of this with a few other guests as they didn’t ask for our requirements but it wasn’t a problem.
The drinks on board were priced higher than off the boat, 30k for water, 69k for coffee, 50k for softdrink, 55k for beer and 160k for cocktails. They do a happy hour which is buy 2 get 1 free.
Included in the cruise was a few trips: a cave, private beach and kayaking. Also in the evening there is a cooking class and squid fishing which is included.
We got a beautiful sunset too.
I would recommend!

BOAT FROM HELL: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Do not be fooled by Santa Maria Cruises marketing tricks. We paid $150 EACH for one night on a ‘luxury’ cruise and it was a sham from start to finish. First of all, the boat is old. It’s rusty and all the fixtures and furnishings look decades old. Secondly, the boat is filthy. We walked in with crumbs and food all over the stairs, the windows had smears and there was a smell of stale food and cigarettes. You’ll soon realize why it smells of cigarettes because every single staff member smokes and they smoke everywhere on the boat especially inbetween serving you food!
As you can see from the pics, everything was bad: food, service, the room, and the overall experience. It was hell on earth.
We were told that we’d have a luxury bedroom but there was nothing luxurious about it. The lampshade was broken, there was no water for a shower or to flush the toilet. We couldn’t even enjoy the rooftop in the evening as the lights were broken and there was no atmosphere because all the other guests were miserable too. To add insult to injury, all you could hear along the bay is the laughter and music coming from all the other guests on cruises having a great old time.
Worst of all, I hurt my foot on the floor because of a nail sticking up (pictured) and this is a serious health and safety risk. What happens if a child stood on that? This should not happen anywhere not least on a so called luxury cruise.
Do you want to hear the worst part?
The staff workers were sweating that much that droplets of sweat from their face and body were dripping onto the food as they were serving guests. Believe me, it was revolting.
Also, our elderly parents could not eat the food, it was disgusting, they were given just one small bottle of water for free and that was it. We also had to pay $9 for 4x tea bags and hot water.
The kind tour guide who was with us apologized for the state of the room, food and the overall service on the boat. He even refused to take a tip from us because he was that embarrassed by the quality we received.
It’s a joke.
When we contacted the company to complain, they pretended to care and said they’ll give us a part refund then never honored it. They expected us to collect the invoice from the hotel but the hotel was in on the scam too as they never helped or called us back. Please don’t give your money to this company. The state of the boat in the pic should be enough for you to know it’s terrible! If you look closely, you can see one of the staff preparing food beside a big pile of bins at the back of the boat. Seriously, stay way!

they said not true. Traveler alway want to take money back.
They try to put our tour guide high pressure....
They also ưant money back from there hotel in HaNoi.
