座落在市区闹市旁的监狱古蹟 坚固的围墙不曾颓倾 多了熙攘的游人交错 以及历史定位 边上的瞭望台不再为了拘束囚犯而存在 改建而成的历史文物馆提供回望灰暗情绪的窗口 陈列的古物以及雕塑呈现四面囹圄的恐怖 也保留着断头台 在馆内参观的情绪起伏可以仔细品味 改建的各处都有发人深思的地景艺术 也贩售有各式纪念品 沈浸的气氛在离开监狱之后更可以了解自由的温柔

场地不算大文物也不算多，但是依照安排好依历史发展的参观路线仔细观看，约需一小时以上走完。监狱当然是罪犯的管束地点，博物馆主要是展现非一般罪犯，而是越南抵抗入侵者的所谓政治犯的处境，成功的展现越南强韧的民族性。

门票价钱30000 越南盾, 地方面积不大, 整体来说是一个规划完整的博物馆， 有很多历史图片，模拟铜像。 印象最深刻的是曾经用来处决的断头台，旁边 的箱子据导游说是装人头用的。 有兴趣了解越南文化的朋友可以到此一游。

我们额外要了一套讲解器，不过发现非常值得！底楼的房间陈列物，详细展示了很多在越战期间监狱的模样。这是我第一天到越南，也因此对越南的历史有了一个比较全面的理解，拓宽了眼界！非常推荐。

看了这里很多的评价，我对这里期待挺高的。两个人的门票还不到2美元，因此就去了。这个地方很小，监狱只剩下原本的大概三分之一。如果你时间不多，可以酌情选择来不来，但时间多的话一定要来，这里记录了真正的战争历史。

Same answer as the others, no need to book.
There is a lot of small writing in some of the displays so take your reading glasses if you use them and don't want to miss a lot of the detail

Most of the prison has been torn down. I’m writing this from inside what remains. The idea that any prisoner would have his own cell or that the victors would memorialise an enemy prisoner is frankly ludicrous.

Sorry Tori C, cannot help re the lacquer maker as I didn't look at the gift shop.
I found several shops in Saigon District 1 that sell excellent lacquer goods and may be available vis the internet/
