It's about 5 mins of walking from
Our hotel.
In the weekend, you can walk free here, never mind transportation.

Semi derelict looking amusement park was such fun.
No queues, cheap, tranquil, ferris wheel, dodgems, roller coaster and games room rolled back the years.
An absolute must see tp escape the mania of Hanoi.

Hanoians must have much more fun paying for other things than for this park. Even though all attractions looks rusty, you could have some fun here. I do advice coming with a group of friends because as said before, in other reviews, it looks like an abandoned park, no visitors.

When we were here, we stayed for two hours and only saw one other couple the whole time we were there. It seemed creepily abandoned. Not sure of the safety level of the rides but we rode them anyway against (probably) better judgement. The arcade was open with an attendant working but none of the games were on. The fountains had overgrown vines. It was honestly a truly unique and hilarious experience. I wouldn't go if you're looking for a regular amusement park experience. But if you're looking for a laugh and some cool photography opportunities on a day when you have nothing else to do, I'd give it a go.

As part of a bigger complex the New Solar Park is semi-integrated with the Tay Ho Waterpark.
For 150.000 VND you can buy a ticket providing access to all attractions of the new solar park or you can decide to pay per ride (which might be a better options).
There are a handful of attractions, all in a fairly run down condition. Including a roller coaster with a double corkscrew and as biggest fair it will derail due to the condition of the ride, a Ferris-wheel, mono-rail, bumper cars, arcade hall, spinner and some other attractions that can provide great fun for a afternoon if you have did everything else in the city.
Do keep in mind this is Vietnam, their vision on safety slightly differences then what we are used to in Disneyland and Six Flags parks.
