Great place to stay great rooms and swimming pool area. Service and meals were great. Cooking classes and cycle trips, boat trips were fun and the massage and facial experience was out of this world. Visiting markets eye opening.

A tester absolument !

We stayed here for two nights in adjoining bungalows with our teens. It was nice to wind down a bit after the bustle and noise of Ho Chi Minh. Our guide was very friendly and always available if we had any questions. The pool is such a beautiful setting and we quite often had it all to ourselves. The food was really good and we had a cooking class just for our family which we all loved, and then we got to eat what we made for dinner. I recommend the hot stone massage, it was amazing! I made my husband go and get one the next day. We also had a foot massage by the pool. We went on a guided bike ride to see how the locals live, and visit a temple. We loved our stay here.

On a passé le weekend dans ce lodge. L'endroit est calme et très agréable. Pour les francophones je recommande "Twing" : un guide extra !

The drive is 150 minutes each way plus a 15 min boat transfer. We stayed one night. If you are traveling to Indochina for the first time this may be a worthwhile trip. The gardens of the lodge are lovely and the number of different flowers and fruits in such confined space remarkable. The staff is very, very friendly and helpful as much as they can given language barriers. The rooms are simple but ok - after all this is an Eco Lodge. My partner has a little bit of a problem with them and felt the room smelled damp. Also the bathrooms were simple - but functioning and clean. I enjoyed the visit very much and more than my partner. The swimming pool is in a lovely setting, clean and clear water and overall great. We did not participate in the bike tour and floating market tour because we have been to Thailand on multiple occasions and decided to just relax before moving on to Phu Quoc today.
The cooking class with abt 20 participants was fun and most enjoyable!
Summary: given the travel time from and to the Mekong Lodge, our past travels in Indochina versus what we experienced we would have rather spent more time in Saigon. But I am not saying this because my experience here was a disappointment, not at all!

We did a 2 day, 1 night stay at Mekong Lodge and really enjoyed it. We were picked up in Ho Chi Minh City by a driver from the hotel and were taken to a small port where we got on a boat for the lodge. We really enjoyed the activities that were offered. We started with a great lunch and then went for a bike ride. My parents are older and we're unable to bike so our guide arranged for them to take a boat to meet us after our bike ride. This way they could still join us for the paddle boat ride. We also enjoyed the cooking class where we learned to make wontons, spring rolls and sweet and sour pork. The next morning we got up and went for another boat ride to the floating market. We then went through a small family factory where they make coconut candy, rice paper and rice wine. After that we returned back to the hotel for a light lunch so we could get on the road back to the airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
Our time at the Mekong Lodge really provided us with a good overall picture of life in the Mekong Delta and we would highly recommend it.

Our stay at Mekong Lodge was superb. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and everyone were super friendly. The cooking class, where we learned how to roll wontons and spring rolls was great and the bicycle trip through the countryside was absolutely wonderful. Seeing the land market and the family factory where they make wine and treats was also really interesting. Our guide (who’s really a local farmer) was friendly and knowledgeable.
The noise from dogs and roosters in the evening was noticeable, but earbuds are provided for for those struggling to sleep, and may have been because of our proximity to them.
Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend as a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of Saigon.

We were picked up from out oldish on time. The mini can we had was very clean and comfortable. The driver was really friendly.
Our journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Cai be was so scenic. We just loved seeing all the tombs, houses, bridges and just seeing people going about their lives.
We had one stop which was great. Some small animals there and interesting stuff in the shop.
We reached the port at cai be 30 mins early. We boarded the boat very quickly and arranged at Mekong lodge around 20 mins later. We were greeted nicely on arrival, were given a really refreshing lime water and were told to take a seat which we were checked in.
The check in was only around 5 mins. We received the keys to our lodge which was very close to the big pool.
The lodge was big and clean. The bathroom again big and clean. Just fitted our needs perfectly. Such a quaint place.
The pool is awesome, that was our first stop.
Then lunch. We were seated in a lovely table with a river view. Our server Qui was so friendly.
We started with chicken with banana flower and prawn crackers. All was delicious.
Then came the deep fried fish, with rice pancake type things. we were shown how to put together the first one and then we did it from there. Was so much fun and the food was delicious.
We were quite full after this. But still to come was braised fish with caramel sauce white rice and vegetables with garlic. Again all so so delicious.
Last course was jack fruit which was lovely too.
I was so impressed with this lunch. I am not a big seafood fan so I was very worried about what I could eat however I have been proved completely wrong.
We then had some relaxing time before our bike ride.
Our bike ride started at 2.30pm with our guide Qua. He was so friendly, his English was excellent and he was able to answer all my questions.
We stopped at a local school which was really nice. My son enjoyed seeing the kids and they were very happy to see us. I was worried about the bike ride as I am not a bike cycling fan however I thoroughly enjoyed it. We then took a boat again and met a row boat that we went round a small inlet before transferring back into the big boat and heading back to Mekong lodge.
On arrival back to the room we had been left a basket of water apples which I thought was a lovely touch.
We booked foot massages at 5.30pm so we had some time in the pool before that.
Our massages started off with shoulder and back then ended with feet and legs. It was absolutely brilliant. So relaxing. I loved that it's done by the pool and the pool was quiet, it was just perfect.
We just had enough time to get showered and then the cooking class began at 6.30pm. I really enjoyed this class. My son enjoyed it and was great that we got the recipes at the end so we could prepare these dishes ourselves.
Dinner was amazing. We had the same seat as lunch. We opted for a fish menu rather than the pork that everyone else was having.
We had prawn wonton soup, prawn spring rolls, king prawns with coconut sauce, squid with sweet and sour sauce, rice, sautéed vegetables and seasonal fruit.
Everything was delicious I couldn't say one thing was better than the rest. I was honestly so impressed with the food.
The staff are so so friendly too and can't do enough for you.
While we were away for dinner the staff came and put up mosquito nets around the beds which was very much appreciated.
Our room was quite noisy during the night with the sound of animals and boats going by however we didn't expect anything less. This is a working area and the nature around this lodge helps keep the place going and is part of the experience.
We were up early the next day. The breakfast was lovely.
You could choose a western or Vietnamese breakfast. We went for a bit of both.
We had the chicken noodle soup which was delicious.
Omelette which were also nice and cooked fresh
The banana pancakes were really tasty too my son loved them.
They gave us some kind of natural yoghurt which had a sweet taste to it. This was lovely and again my son really enjoyed it.
After breakfast we were back in the boat. We went passed a floating market which was quite small but good to see. Then we stopped at a shop that made cotton candy... we watched them making the produce. Our next stop was a bee farm where they make honey.
Back in the boat, we went to a market which was really good to see. So much different produce, you get an idea how the Vietnamese people make their money and how hard they work.
After this our last stop was an old house. It was built with French architecture from outside but inside was traditional Vietnamese decor. We were served jasmine tea and fruit in the garden of the house.
We headed back to the lodge where we had time to relax before checking out.
Our guide was brilliant the whole time.
We asked if we could be taken straight to the airport rather than a hotel as we were flying out that day to another part of Vietnam. We offered to pay the extra that it would cost however he said there was no need and it was no problem to take is straight there.
I would recommend the Mekong lodge to anyone visiting Vietnam.
