Oddball place that is a throwback to the Communist era. Entry is free.
The gardens have a few tatty aircraft surrounded by bonsai and plants with labels telling you of the heroic deeds against the oppressors, go into the building and see two floors of pictures of heroic pilots, sadly only captioned in Vietnamese, strange but an interesting hour if you are close.

Il y a beaucoup de photos d'époques tout les commentaires sont en vietnamien.
À l'extérieur il y a 4 avions et 2 hélicoptères et au tour une magnifique végétation avec de jolis bonsaï donc si vous avez 30 minutes de bonus avant de partir pourquoi pas

As it is not much known site in the city its hard to explain the taxi driver. And also if you have visited the war museum it is not worth to see this air force museum

It's not a must to visit attraction in Ho chi minh. The garden is small and poorly maintained. Overgrown tress and their branches destroying the view. Visit only if you have ample of time.

This museum, also called the Vietnam People's Air Force Museum is a neat little place. It's about a twenty-minute walk from the airport, so I went before I left Vietnam. It's free to enter and is a good way to kill an hour or so. The inside of the museum doesn't have that much, but it has some parts and weapons from Vietnam War-era aircraft. Almost everything in the museum is in Vietnamese with no English translations, so for me, it was more visual than actually reading about what I saw.
The aircraft on the outside are the gems though, as they have several aircraft and helicopters that I'd never seen before, namely a pair of Mil-Mi helicopters, which I've never seen at any air force museum in the United States.

Этот музей расположен недалеко от аэропорта. Вход сюда бесплатный. Здесь выставлены большей частью трофейные вертолёты и самолёты ВВС США времён войны. Минут на 10 заглянуть сюда, когда проезжаете мимо, я думаю стоит.

이 전시장은 호치민 딴손녓 공항 근처에 있는 탕롱지역에 있는 비행기 전시장이다. 전시된 비행기는 주로 월남전 당시에 미군이 사용하던 비행기이며 야외에 전시되어 있으며 입장료는 없다.

We decided to stop by in the musem while going to the airport. It was a challenge to explain the location to the non english speaking taxi driver, but we got there.
Gates were open, and there was no staff.
The place was rather an overgrown garden with an Mi-8, weirdly modded Mi-24, Huey, MiG-21 and a Cessna Skymaster. Children and dogs were playing around the planes and seemed to basically live there with their families. There were plates under each aircraft giving a brief explanation in Vietnamese and English.
All in all it's not worth for a long trip but if you've some spare time before or after a flight, it's a good way to spend 15min. Taxi from the airport takes around 5-10min.

The Tan Son Nhut Air Force Museum takes a little work to find, but with the help of an English speaking lobby attendant and interested taxi driver, I was able to find the museum, or what is left of it. Arriving at the sight I found a variety of poorly maintained U.S. and Soviet aircraft on static display in a small courtyard. Trees and shrubs were being grown around the aircraft making it difficult for clear viewing and photographing. The single building in the compound was closed, with no signage. The lobby had the ever-present statue of Ho Chi Minh with a child, in his role as the country's mentor... There was a guard keeping vigil over the compound who signaled that it was okay to access and view the aircraft.
