Impressive. It feels like the 19th century turned out, such huge barrels of brandy, smell, huge factory. Like a fortress. The fortress, by the way, was when this territory was captured by the Persians, then the Russians retook. The Guide is so cool, it tells everything about the history of the place, the fortress, and the history of the factory. Well, don't drop a drink, but it's worth a visit. Interesting Vacation Package. The underground passage was impressive.. be surprised..

Noy Winery, Yerevan Armenia: It’s a taste of history at Noy winery, which started in 1877. If you haven't got time for the wineries in the outskirts of the city, Noy is your next best thing. It’s dubbed and named a “factory”, which robs the wine-making romanticism. As far as Soviet-style production goes, this is truly a factory. Staff are remarkably Soviet-styled frozen cold and rude. The only warmth is the brandy, whisky or wine they produce that burns a hot trail down your throat. This is a popular Armenian household brand that everyone knows locally. There’s a museum with a hodge podge of pictures, old furniture and prized bottles. The deep aroma of oak barrels and wine tannins hit you as you walk around the factory. With some staff love, this should be a landmark attraction in Yerevan. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Visiting this factory was interesting from different aspects. In addition to the successful economic effort, the managers of this factory have also displayed a small part of the efforts made by past generations in a suitable space to show that the way to success is hard work.

We booked tour upon recommendation of tourism office. Be aware, they are not trained and know very little. The tour starting place was hard to find and even when we did, staff lacked language skills (or we did) to confirm we were in the right place for the 5pm English speaking tour. We chose the most expensive option which was around 45€ or $50. The tour guide was a professional looking 30ish year old woman who spoke very quickly, and I got about 60-70 of what she said. She wasn’t a story teller, just facts, dates, etc. so I think I’ve already forgotten most of it. The cellars are awesome. The smell wafts out as you enter and then descend a few floors. Wow, the barrels and ambiance are quite unique. The first tasting was a port and madere wine from early 1900’s. The experience was spoiled by the hurried nature of the guide. We are drinking some lovely delicious things and this guide is hurrying us along like we are on a Disney ride. I kept thinking, her delivery is like a Stepford Wife automatron. Then the final tasting was a 10 and 20 year brandy but no one was able to finish because after 5 minutes she moved us along to the end of the tour, like unwanted pigeons. But I’m not a pigeon, I’m a 61 year old buyer. And, as I took a couple of pictures, I missed the announcement which she delivered before I entered the ‘welcome area’ where we arrived and also doubled as the exit. I asked my wife, as we walked down the street, “Why couldn’t we buy anything?” And she said the guide asked hurriedly, just before I entered, does anyone want to buy anything? Please train the guides in hospitality and sales. It will improve the experience for the client.

Noy Factory was recommended to us by friends. We booked an English tour. First of all, it is difficult to find the entrance to the building which is very large. At reception, the person does not speak a word of English. The guide arrives and asks us which option we choose. She quickly gives us the 3 tastings and my husband takes the most expensive. It wouldn't be very complicated to make a sheet with the options...Then visit the museum at a run, the young woman speaks extremely quickly and her time is limited! The places are very beautiful but unfortunately there is no time to enjoy them. The same goes for the 2 tastings, you have to act quickly. It’s still a shame to taste a 20-year-old cognac and be told that you have to leave in 2 minutes. For 15,000 drams (around €35) per tasting, the experience is very disappointing. Fortunately, Armenia has many other great things to do.

Visited with a Russian-speaking group. The tour is suitable for both the museum and the storage facility, which is different from the tour of the Ararat plant. That's why they chose Noah. We watched everything in an hour. Interesting. Can be taken without tasting. There is a company store right next to it. The price tag seemed even lower than in stores. Plus a quality guarantee.

My wife and I visited the Noy factory today, at the recommendation of some good friends, and enjoyed the experience, although we had read some negative reviews. We walked to the factory ready for 10am, only to be told that the English-speaking tours were at 2pm and 4pm and that we should book first, which I did. There are three tour options, costing 5,000,10,000 or 15,000 per person. The only difference is the range of spirits that are tasted. We opted for the higher one, to get the most from the experience, and believe it was worth it, having tasted century-old port and sweet wine, and 10 and 20 year-old cognac with fruits.
The tour was interesting and the cellars are amazing - well worth the visit. Our guide was informative and pleasant, though quick to chastise anyone who was talking too loudly.

An interesting excursion, they tell a lot about cognac making in Armenia. Special impressions: go down to the cellars where wine and cognac mature. A tasting ends the excursion perfectly.

Excelente visita guiada. Além de um tour detalhado pelo museu, você conhecerá o que sobrou da fortaleza de Erivan, beberá um porto ou madeira do começo do século XX (!) e, claro, fará a degustação dos incríveis (e verdadeiramente armênios) conhaques Noy. Imperdível.

Dla miłośników brendy polecam zajrzeć do tego muzeum. Można poznać jego historię, zajrzeć do piwnic z ogromnymi beczkami. Mieliśmy też degustację. W sklepie obok można kupić alkohol po niższych cenach.

I didn't know you opened till night. Do you have tours at night? Is that why you're listed as the number one spot in Nightlife in Yerevan here on Tripadvisor?

They do not have tours in the evening. They are also closed on the weekend unless special arrangements
have been be made

I'm not sure if there was an individual visitor. visits were supposed to be arranged by tour leader or else you could contact the factory before visit. it is a governmental facility as far as I understood and has strict discipline although visitors were wellcome.
