This museum is a monument to Bangladeshi independence and the war fought with Pakistan for freedom. The exterior is under major renovation and you have to slog through mud to get to it. But by all means get there. There are enough English explanatory boards so that you can truly understand the atrocities. The displays, photos, and videos are harrowing but provide true insight into the Bangladeshi struggles for nationhood.

One of the best historical museums I've seen anywhere. Absolutely world-class. The focus is of course the Liberation War of 1971, but the first section tells the history of Bangladesh beginning with ancient Bengal and going up through the British Raj to partition, etc. Fascinating exhibits, stories, and artifacts. Compelling and powerful. Nearly everything is presented in both Bengali and English. The building itself is new, spacious, clean, and well-maintained. There is also a space for temporary exhibits; when I visited recently they had an exhibit on Rohingya refugees from Myanmar.
In summary, I would absolutely recommend the Liberation War Museum to anyone visiting Dhaka. Don't miss it.

First, check your map! The museum relocated to this new building a bit north of the Parliament in 2017. A couple maps I saw along with a road sign still showed it near the Independence/Glass tower. But definitely seek this place out! I learned quite a lot here. The galleries are well marked, and present a very good view of the history of Bangladesh and the struggles that ultimately led to independence. Some of the photos can be a bit graphic, but that is part of the story.

It is a pride for all Bangladeshis. It has huge collection of documents of our liberation war. To know the history of Bangladesh one must visit this museum.

バングラデシュの地層や生息する動植物に関する展示がありますが、展示のメインではないです。展示のメインとなるものはバングラデシュの独立戦争に関するものです。展示を見るとバングラデシュ軍がどのようにパキスタン軍と戦い勝利を収めたのかわかります。展示ではパキスタン軍の過激な攻撃を示す写真があります。非常にグロテスクなものもあるので気を悪くする可能性もあります。
展示の中には日本がバングラデシュの独立にメディアで発信することで手助けしたと新聞記事が展示されています。

Its situated in the middle of the city near University of Dhaka. I think you need to spend at least a day for this museum only.
