Well maintained Fort

Located inside the busy Dhaka city, this small fort is well maintained by the Government. The fort has a tomb inside which is locked for entry, it has a man made fountain replicating the Mughal architecture of fountain with Garden as we see in most of the Mughal gardens in our India including Tajmahal. Garden is well maintained. This fort houses a mosque, a dried lake, residential buildings for officials of the rulers, water storage facility. Also it houses a bath house used by the royals with paintings of the usage of the bath house. The entry fees is 20 for Bangladesh citizens, 100 taka for Saarc countries' visitors

Good day at Old Dhaka- Part 1

It was a couple tour with my wife. We went there by 12:00 pm. And, we have visited the fort together and clicked numerous photos.
This place is a heritage for Dhaka, aswell as Bangladesh.
Everyday, a good number of people visits here with their friends and family. Foreigners also come to visit here.

war am Sonntag geschlossen

Durch dichten Verkehr brauchten wir sehr lange, um am Fort anzukommen. Leider war das Tor geschlossen und wir konnten nur gegen die Sonne Fotos durch die Gitterstäbe hindurch machen.

Memorable day tour place.

Excellent place with full security for our family day tour.All are good to see but washroom is need to more clean and need 2 or 3 rest place for the visitor.I hope,enjoy everyone. Thanks to all.

Ein Ruhepunkt in der Altstadt.

Es war ein schöner Tag, die Sonne kam heraus und die Aussicht war fantastisch. Das war auf unserer Wunschliste und wir haben es geliebt. Die Mühen beim Bau dieser Stadt zu sehen und zu verstehen, ist überwältigend.

Beauty and history of Mughal Era.

The history and the witness of the Mughal era, founded in the 17th century. the construction was so affluent compared to that era. The founder of the Lalbagh fort Mughal prince Azam Shah started the construction back in 1678. however, the fort had never completed for other pathetic reasons described in history.

Lovely day out for family and friends.
Recommended it’s a great insight into how magnificent Dhaka used to be. You can imagine how much Mir their must have been !
