Great Latin party when I came. The live band was amazing as well as the crowd. Fantastic cocktails and gold rum. I recommend this place for a good time when you’re up for partying.

Just had a very pleasant experience at Samai Distillery. Me and my friend got a (non-booked and spontaneous) tour of the distillery including the fermentation and distilling vessels.
Our guide was very enthusiastic and explained the mechanisms of the production of their rum with an adequate level of detail!
We got to try fresh batches of "heart" from both the pot and the column stills. It's amazing how the flavour can differ so much between the distillation method and how the flavours of the molasses develop during fermentation!
I would really recommend checking this place out if you enjoy drinks/cocktails and even more so if you enjoy rum! .

Kept seeing Samai pop up on recommendations for nightlife and wasn't sure if the Thursday only thing was because of Covid or something else. Think it's mainly just so that they focus on the actual business side of things a full 6 days.
They do offer tours of the distillery but when we got there (around 8:30) I'm pretty sure it wasn't available to go on at that point.
Either way the section that is open is a really neat space with the rum barrels hanging on one side and the bar on the other. I had ordered two mixed rum drinks that were both very good; one was a rum and coke type of drink called 21 Points and the other was a sweet and sour drink called Passionate Distillers.
Crowd seems to skew more young working professionals, but also saw a decent mix of Western expats, Western and Eastern tourists and some Cambodians as well.
Overall a fun first stop on our night out.

Experience unique à Phnom Penh! Si vous êtes touristes de passage à Phnom Penh, n'hésitez pas à reserver votre jeudi soir pour aller déguster des cocktails premium à base du Rhum local produit dans la distillerie meme!

Top rum local production every Thursday tasting, cool setting top contails we enjoyed verry much. To much for one night we will be back ;-)

We got some great time at Samai, enjoying top notch cocktails, good music from dj. The location is quite good too, some good restaurants are around. Fun, fun, fun!

We had such a great time there, really good ambience and their are divine, specially the Kampot pepper rum, I love it. Will be back, they use to have dj s party and I join most of them, so much fun!

Hi! You can find our Samai Gold Rum and our Samai Kampot Pepper Rum at the distillery. We advise you to check our Facebook page for additional info regarding the Kampot Pepper Rum as it's a victim of its own success and is regularly out of stock despite all our efforts to produce more ;)

Hi Linda,
Samai Distillery only opens to the public on Thursday night from 6pm until 11:30pm. Here you can come and discover the distillery, taste our different rums and original cocktail recipes, and ask for a tour.
