This was one of the best days out I have had in a while. They pick you early by tuk tuk and take you to the Phnom Penh pier where you board the luxury ( super comfortable ) speed boat, you are treated to a great breakfast with hot coffee as you pass by Phnom Penh. Phnom Penh looks so different from the river, it looks even more beautiful !!! Once outside the city and a little further down the Bassac River the boat picks up some speed. Over the course of the morning you are then taken to some really interesting and cool shore excursions, a fish farm then an ancient Chinese house ( with a recently installed western toilet), then into some tuk tuks to visit a lotus pond and then a unique and striking blue temple. Once back on board the boat you are treated to a delicious fresh lunch of yummy Asian flavours. I left this day tour on a real high, a real feeling of wow that was just fantastic. Thanks Les Rives for not only a fun relaxing way to spend a day but for another insight into this amazing destination.

We live in Ho Chi Minh City and sometimes go to Phnom Penh. We found out about this tour because the company Les Rives also operates similar day tours in Ho Chi Minh City (to the Cu Chi Tunnels, the Mekong Delta, the National Park, etc). We had tried them in Ho Chi Minh City and recommended them to visitors and friends as we had found them to be very unique.
We were really pleased to realize we could find similar tours in Phnom Penh (as there is not much to do there), and had a great experience once again with the 1-day river boat tour on the Bassac river. Of course the standard of the tour is the same as the ones in Ho Chi Minh City, which means the boat is top quality, the visits are very interesting and different from what you can read in guide books, the guides are friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive and the food is good!
We definitely recommend this tour for a unique 1-day experience outside Phnom Penh on the river and into the Cambodian countryside and are looking forward to trying new tours maybe in the future?

This is new destination offering visitors to visit a real part of Cambodia. Good destination with mixture of mean of transports, nice small speed boat about 20 passengers capacity, very stable, comfortable and tuk tuk, the local transportation bring you deeply into the Khmer daily life for those visitors who have no enough time to visit all Cambodia. Picnic lunch on board as well as drinks with good services and very friendly staff. Excellent fruits testing in the local farm and see how the local people work in their farm.
