The trip is very cheap (15 USD) , for an hour round trip along the river, with a few snacks with beers or soft drinks. It was also possible to buy bbq food onboard.

If you want a cruise that is affordable that even the locals take. This is the cruise operator you should be looking for. You arrive at the pier, boats launch every 30 mins from their operating hours. Pay the fixed price ($5/pax) and get a ticket to board.

Fantastic boat. Clean, well maintained and very memorable. We really enjoyed the experience. We have now take visiting friends and family out on the crocodile and it was one of the most memorable experiences of their trips

We live in Phnom Penh and always use Captain Kim's boat for entertaining out of town guests, hosting birthday parties or enjoying a weekend evening cruise while the sun is setting over the Mekong. Kim is easy to work with and very accommodating. I highly recommend the Crocodile Cruise. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Highly recommend this simple yet lovely activity to do in Phnom Penh!
We (a married couple travelling SE Asia on a budget) learnt about slow sunset cruises on the Mekong, and after reading so many reviews, chose to sail with Crocodile Cruise! What fascinated us most were pictures of how the boats have a Amazon Jungle vibe to it with the wood colors and plants!
Captain Kim was very courteous - he escorted us to our boat and then his colleague escorted us to the upper deck where she offered us multiple seats - we picked the ones we liked. The team was also very considerate - we're vegetarian, so Capt Kim arranged for vegetarian Spring Rolls and peanuts specially for us which made us really happy! The cruise began a little after we boarded at 5:30 pm and sailed until 6:45 pm. The boat sails down Tonle Sap river and then onto the Mekong at the confluence of the two rivers (encircled in between are the Silk Islands). It was beautiful to see this simple Asian city come alive in vivid sparkly lights while the sun turned the sky beautiful shades of orange and purple. Music played while people enjoyed the views and chatted with their partners and guests. We clicked some pictures and enjoyed the food and drinks... adding a few pics here too!
We booked directly with him by contacting through Facebook messenger and got his Whatsapp number. Very reasonable prices and they even have a Bar and Kitchen with some delicious Khmer food. You can also book directly at the pier near the night market.

I had a lovely time cruising the river at sunset with Captain Kim on deck! He was incredibly welcoming and was continuously making sure all of his customers were content and satisfied with their experience. The boat was very clean, and cozy. I enjoyed spring rolls and drinks on board, all which was very tasty. I would highly recommend this experience to any type of traveler!

We are a family of 4: 2 adults and 2 kids (9 and 7), we had a 2 hours private tour, it was very nice, good communication with the boat owner, comfortable boat.very relaxing!

Opted for Sun set Cruise. Boat was clean, neat and tidy. Captain Kim was very helpful and was an excellent guide letting know the history throughout the cruise.

Boat from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh takes about 6 hours and costs $US30. Boat from Phnom Penh to Chau Doc (on Vietnam-Cambodia border) costs about the same and takes about 4-5 hours (see bluecruisers). You'll need to take a bus from Chau Doc to Ho Chi Minh City (aka Saigon). Cost is about $US10-12.
You'll need to organise your Vietnamese visa ahead of time, as border control at Chau Doc DOES NOT issue visas.
A bus from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh costs $US8-12.
Luxury cruises are considerable more expensive, and take several days between ports.
