3人家族が私たち2人をホストしてくれました。英語はあまり通じないですが、ガイドの方が同行して通訳をしてくれるので全く問題ありませんでした。上手くいかなくても丁寧に教えてくれます。エンジンが故障するトラブルもありましたがそれを自分たちで治す様子も見ることができ、それもそれで良い経験となりました。昼食は素揚げした魚をご馳走してくれ、臭みも特になく、大変美味しかったです。めったにできない経験ですのでおすすめします。

This was by far the best experience of our trip in Cambodia! Probably ever! We were inspired by the carvings in the temples of Angkor Wat so we decided to give this wood carving lesson a try. We were greeted by Mr Ann who gave us a selection of templates to do. Mr Ann was very patient with us as we have never done anything like this before and he told us the diffent techniques of how to carve the wood properly. By the end of the 3 hours we had made some very beautiful wood pieces which we could take home with us. We lived it so much that we decided to but some of Mr Ann’s tool kit he hand makes!
Honestly this has been such a highlight of our holiday and it is such a unique experience, as you are also helping people in need.
Just book it!!!!

Despite the fact that the experience was a bit under our expectation, my friends and I had a great time at the pottery class The host and instructor are very patient, friendly and helpful. The experience could have been greater and more memorable if what we have been made in class could be used; but they are not.

Our two boys aged 9 and 11 made cross bows with a local hunter. Although they needed a bit of help they loved doing this. This is a great activity for all ages and really recommend it. We had a lovely translator to help them learn about cross bow making.

Loved the experience, and LOVED the food, and Chef Nara is just a great teacher. The market visit, although brief, gave us at least one thing we had not seen before (preparing coconut milk!) and the actual cooking lesson was very enjoyable indeed.

I did both these courses and it was fun. The classes are usually in the 'backstreets' so you get to see non-touristy places. Both courses were fun and informative, the teachers really great and the translator, Kannon, was very professional, very dedicated and with a great sense of humour! Definitely recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Cef Nara and the tour through the local market first as we gathered our ingredients. Everything was fresh andinteresting and the three courses we made for lunch were tasty and authentic (banana blossom salad and green mango salad, fish amok in banana leaf and palm sugar custard steamed inside a pumpkin shell). Nara was patient and clear with his instructions, and passed on lots of little tips for mixing things up when we try our and at this at home.

My adult son and I went to the backstreet academy pottery classes. We had a great time! The artist/instructor was very knowledgeable! A good teacher! We got individual attention. Very friendly! We enjoyed our time there. He really wanted our project to look good, and he gave us all the help and attention we needed. I would definitely go again.

Thao has organised workshops in my cafe and we have done small day trips together, she does a great job, always positive, organised, happy, helpful and thoughtful.
I'm always happy to meet her and help her groups. I recommend and am happy to have my name associated with her.

This trek was excellent, I can not praise it enough.
It was a great day.
I did the 6 hour trek with a group of 9 girls whom I was already doing a tour, you do need a minimum of 5 people to do this trek (I'm sure if you have less you could organise something with the operators, like joining another group).
I am not usually an active person, I have never hiked and neither had some of the other girls in my group. This was not a problem at all.
While at first we did struggle because the first 1km was all stairs and it was a humid 30 degrees. The guide was very patient with us and he stopped regularly so we could catch our breath and when we were really struggling, he even fanned us down with a book he had in his bag. The guide was excellent the whole way and once we got past the stairs, the remainder of the hike was very pleasant.
I would recommend closed toe shoes (running shoes) for those who want to do the hike, but I wore walking sandals and I was fine (I did trip once or twice).
Once we were at the top, the guide lead us to the reclining Buddha and for a guide that didn't do this tour regularly, he still was able to answer the questions we had. We then sent to the river and he told us why the waterfall was consider holy.
Next the waterfall.
Swimming in the waterfall was great, the water was so cool after the hike and it was really relaxing. It cost US$0.50 to use the changing rooms (plastic tent) next to the waterfall and US$1 to hire a locker which fit 3 bags and came with a key that we could take with us. Our tour guide patient waited for us at the top of the waterfall while we all had a swim.
There are restaurants at the top of the mountain (a little more expensive at US$6, but they can charge what they like because they are the only ones up there). The food was actually really nice as well.
The bus took us back down the mountain and we started the 1.5 hour trip back to Siem Reap.

Hi, the 'Fishing on the Mekong with a Local Fisherman' is 4hours in duration and costs $30 per person. However, there is a minimum booking of 2 person. If you're a solo traveller, there is a provision to book with a surcharge (additional on top of the $30) of $25. The surcharge was introduced to cater to request from guests who were travelling solo and didn't mind bearing the additional cost.

Hi, you can simply book the fishing experience through our website and we will send you a confirmation within an hour. Once you receive the confirmation and make the payment online, we will send you the pick up location where we will have our guide pick you up to take you to the local host's boat on the riverside.
