Very pricey, and disappointed it's a teeny tiny little add on to the gas station. Not what we were expecting. The cheese tastes wonderful, sausage taste like any other sausage--- but will not return. Smoked cheese & sausage can be purchased MUCH cheaper elsewhere without going to a crowded gas station on the side of the highway.

The store front is right off the interstate with Sonic and the convenience store. Samples were a plenty and b/c of that we bought more!

Excellent Kansas made cheese. Great prices and friendly people. Cheese curds are fantastic. As well as the Bacon Jack cheese.

Saw billboard so stopped. About 4 miles off I 70. Very local. Outside looks like nothing there but nice shop inside with several kinds of cheese and other local products. Cheese produced on site with milk from local dairies. Hard to find. Off a gravel road by the RR tracks.

Nice quiet side trip to an old fashioned cheese factory. Better if they offered tours. Cheese a bit pricey but great taste

This is a wonderful shop, with locally made cheese. They are also gifts and locally made food items available. The cheese selection is very good including curds and irregular sizes. We purchased the cheddar, the white cheddar, and the pepper jack. All very good. If you need a cutting board and a slicer, those are available for purchase. Its a one stop shop for your picnic items, also includes the local summer sausage. The shopkeeper was extremely friendly young gal, and she was grateful for her business.

Stopped by here after years of driving by signs on I70. The creamery is off the beaten path and looks a little rundown on the outside. The little store has a nice variety of their cheeses that are priced reasonably for fresh cheeses. The samples set out convinced husband to by a stick of beef sausage - really good. The very friendly employee at the counter pointed out the “irregulars” in the cooler. These are the end pieces or crumbles, that are just as tasty and are discounted. Bought a small bag of cheddar crumbles (I’m thinking great for melting on bagel chips or crackers) for $1. A variety of local jams, salsas, etc are available and priced typically for local, small batch items. The creamery’s cheeses are available in many local specialty shops. Otherwise, there is not much else to see here.

My friends and I stopped at Alma Creamery on our drive to Colorado. The cheese is delicious but we didn't buy any considering we still had a long drive ahead of us. We did buy a few jams and some pumpkin butter and they were fantastic.
It's a bit off the highway and the store is really tiny but if you're not in a rush definitely check it out!

6 mile RT leaving I-70 to Alma and back to I-70. Melting snow and the “sort of gravel parking lot“ around this tiny cheese office was a mess. Greeted by a pink sign in the window that states no public restrooms. No cheese samples that others discussed in reviews. The unenthusiastic young employee simply said “we don’t have any out today“ without any explanation or apology. Extremely small “store“ area. Three vertical coolers with only three flavors of cheese curds and cheese. Cost for a small bag of cheese curds was $3.75. This was a total waste of time. There is nothing to see inside really.

My husband and I detoured off the highway to see some of the countryside while visiting Kansas. The samples were delicious and we bought garlic curds to snack on in the car, and a summer sausage to bring. home. I'll be ordering the garlic curds to make poutine and the pferrneusse cookies to enjoy with tea. They had several varieties of the cookies, they were all tasty dime-sized bites. It certainly was worth the <1 hour detour.. Note: they don't have a public bathroom.
